The crystal at the top is real glass and not plastic.The shaft is metal, so this is made to last.There is a small open loop at the end, where you can either thread a ribbon, thin chain or jump ring so you can hang from costume.

After I received this wand I had to go back to the page description to find where it mentions that the wand is pretty short. It is well made though especially for a costume piece. Even though the rod part of the wand is short, the crystal is rather large and pleasant to look at. The crystal is large enough that it would still be the right size for a larger wand or even a staff. The metal of the rod is rigid and very shiny like chrome.

...or noggin conker? Either one would work! The scepter weighs in at just under 1/2 lb. Measures 14 1/4" from top of crystal to tip of wand.The crystal is a pretty shade of blue between sapphire and blue zircon. Definitely glass or crystal, not plastic. Seems very sturdy and well constructed. There is a weird little ball on the center end of the scepter, I have no idea why or what it is for.

Very lovely wand. Definitely not a scepter. I anticipated it being a bit longer, but it is perfect length as a wand. The only negative is that it is very heavy weighted to the crystal.

Beautiful wand. Great quality, sturdy. It would make a great accent to a costume or could be just a decoration. Properly taken care of, I can see this wand lasting for years. At the very least it is a great conversation piece. Perfect for my intended use.

Who said all witches wear black? This is a great scepter for witches, queens, princesses, fairies and the like. The crystal is heavy and faceted well. The metal rod that holds it is very sturdy. The metal has no scuffs, scratches or discoloration. The scepter could have ribbons added for a more wand-like effect. The light pink color of the crystal is a pleasant feature. This is a quality piece, not plastic junk. I like the quality and materials of this scepter very much.
