What a great straight key. It has been thrown in the bottom of my POTA kit, dropped, and abused. It just works so well! If I could rate this key 5 stars for a second time, I would. I really enjoy the fact that you can adjust the spacing as well as the tension for the key. It is durable, metal, weighted, and has anti-slip pads on the bottom. 10/10 I would absolutely recommend.

I purchased the black version of this key after reading a couple of reviews showing the texture of the surface and the quality construction. I was not disappointed since the action feels smooth and is fully adjustable. The key features smooth bearings, magnetic return, non-slip silicon pads and a replaceable knob (flat knob available at their website). Connection is via a 3.5mm jack and a stereo cord is included, however, the connector is wired for mono use. They also include a soft Putikeeg carry bag for those who do field ops. Overall, it's a good value and works great.

So this little straight key is the perfect balance of weight, motion and finish for a "pocket sized" straight key. I like the paint finish, it feels nice and does not get slippery with finger oils. I was unsure of the magnetic design versus, let's say a spring, but the magnet was responsive and allows for a nice crisp snap up and down of the key. Really nice for the price. I'm new so it's important to me to get quality but not spend an arm and a leg for something I may not love, I can say I took a gamble, but it wasn't a gamble and in do love it! This is a quality putikeeg product. I would definitely buy again or try their other products. See my micro paddle review, they (putikeeg) really makes a nice product! They are 2 for 2 with me and I'd definitely recommend them to any the new hams learning morse code.

This key has a great feel and quality build , but with a close gap locks the key and drops closed occasionally , embarrassing in a qso to just send a continuous tone all of a sudden !

I was looking for a new key to keep with my portable transciever when on vacation. This looked like a good value and the reviews were all quite favorable. It arrived within two days and I was immediately impressed with the solid feel and quality of the workmanship. Once I adjusted to my liking, I went on the air and proceeded to use it for two hours straight. I was very happy with the overall feel and performance and can honestly say that it rivals my Vibroplex keyer, which cost over twice as much! The only disappointment for me was the supplied cord, which was too short for my radios, which have the key jacks on the back. Add a foot to the cord and it will be perfect. I had a spare cord that I immediately put to use and the problem was solved. I highly recommend this and may purchase another one, just to have a spare.

I needed a small, well made straight key for portable use. This one fits the bill perfectly. It is very well made, and easily adjustable. It has a nice, solid feel.A great addition to my portable shack! de KN6ER

The key is fairly comfortable to use. The magnetic tension adjustment allows for fairly low pressure. (much lower pressure than a smaller key I have from the same brand) The key contacts make a distinct click, louder than a couple of other keys I have. This is neither good nor bad. The key is heavy enough and wide enough, with foot pads, so it stayed put on the desk.

I cannot judge it compared to other keys because I am not very experienced with variety of keys. But, with my limited experience, this is very good one. The settings are good and somewhat simple, the navy style knob feels good (some will prefer wood, I would as well but this feels good). The build quality is very good and I like the gray color (other colors are also very interesting for the modern look this key sports). The key also supports itself and do not move while being operated.The only downside (or more like a heads-up) is the cable that comes with it is not mono, it is a stereo plug that might tricky some radios into seeing it as a iambic paddle. This is an easy thing tho, if the radio has no manual settings, just change the cable to one with mono plugs (ring and tip).For a key in the sub $100 USD price range, this is solid!

Dit is een heel stevige morse straight key en mooi afgewerkt. Ik geef een drie omdat mijn doosje het flannellen zakje niet bevatte.Zou leuk zijn als dit kon nagezonden worden. Een retour voor een zakje vind ik een heel gedoe.

La construcción es impecable. Es un poco pequeño para entrenar en casa (me gustarÃa uno más largo) pero está genial para transportarlo (fue mi elección de compromiso). La marca Putikeeg en su máxima expresión.

...klein aber hinreichend schwer, Kabel nicht fest verbunden (Klinkenbuchse 3.5mm im Sockel, Kabel ist dabei). Die Rückstellkraft lässt sich mit einem mehr oder weniger tief einschraubbaren Magneten(!) einstellen, der von einem anderen Magneten in der Basis abgestoßen wird - das ist der dicke Knopf in Gehäusefarbe - sehr coole Lösung! Das übliche Rändelrad samt Kontermutter für die Einstellung der Weglänge. Haptisch und optisch sehr gelungen!
