Work with the Lubricant

Tips
1. For better cleaning effect, the car surface should be thoroughly washed before using the car clay bar.
2. If the clay bar is dropped to the ground, please give it up and replace it with a new one, because it’s hard to clean the surface stains on the clay bar which may cause scratches.

It is easy to use using spray bottle with a little soap diluted in water. A little goes a long way. Use areas that do not have grit or is soiled as you move along sections of your car. Results are a smooth and clean surface ready for waxing.

I have a huge tree that drops all it's seeds and sap throughout the year. I usually use Mother's or Meguire's brand (only because that's what my dad would have on hand before) and so I'm comparing this product to those brands. It does get the sap dots off, but I feel like it's not as smooth as the other brands. I tried initially in the summer and it was pretty good, but after about 5 months ths opening the 2nd sealed bar had a more drier texture. It still worked fine with the lubricant and everything but I've never had that issue with other brands. I think this gets the hard water spots off better than it does the tree sap, but I'm good with the product over all.

I purchased this West Horse brand, wanting to test a heavier clay on an older car that had not been washed for several years and never waxed (belonged to a friend). A quick wash removed the loose road grime. Then the clay finished the job, removing the usual grit that remains after washing. For lubricant I used ONR Wash and No Rinse: one half ounce to 32 ounces of distilled water. This clay worked wonders for the car. The paint surface became as smooth as glass. Research how to clay a car if you've not done it. It's easy and relatively quick. After the clay process, wax with Carnauba paste wax and enjoy the comments from friends and family about how nice your car/truck looks. Making your lubricant with ONR and purchasing clay bars is a lot cheaper than buying the kits from the auto part stores.

My husband wouldn't listen to me and parked the NEW car too close to where he was spray painting bike parts. Overspray all over the BRAND NEW CAR!!!!! So he finally (with the consult of a car finish guy) was shown the results and with information from this wonderful car finish guy decided his penance was to "fix" this and the advice was clay bar! Worked beautifully! My car at 3 years old feels and looks like brand new all over again! Highly recommend this product!

Our Honda sits under a tree that oozes sap for several months a year. My partner doesn't like those cheap car cover tents, so the car sits out. I read up on how to prevent the sap from eating into the paint, and the process starts with using a Clay Bar to remove the sap.I bought this particular product because of the ratings and price. It works great. The bar fits in my hand and is easy to apply Just follow the instructions for great results. I use this in conjunction with a clay bar specific lubricant. Easy Peasey, no more sap.

This clay bar product does not do the job any clay bar should do. When applied to a vehicle surface, a West Horse clay bar abrades to the surface. When trying to remove the abraded clay, it leaves a heavy oil that's difficult to remove. After two passes with one of these clay bars I gave up and packaged the clay bar with the other two unopened bars.As a point of reference, I had just finished using the last of some clay bars I purchased in a Meguiar's detailing kit. The Meguiar's bars did everything a clay bar is supposed to do, specifically pull small dirt and grime particles off a painted surface, leaving the surface completely clean. After the disaster of using the West Horse clay bar I was able to go back to a Meguiar's clay bar and detail my Honda Goldwing motorcycle, even after using the Meguiar's bar to detail my Corvette.Rephrased, a worn-out Meguiar's clay bar is more effective than a brand-new West Horse clay bar
