I have made small needlepoint christmas ornaments and used these small hops to mount them in. Added a bow and ribbion to hang them from the christmas tree.

I would never use these as working hoops; they're splintery and the tightening mechanism is clunky. The only two things they have going for them is that they're an attractive natural wood color and very affordable. I buy them to display my mini embroidery and cross stitch in.

Good product but the screw attachment was a bit to large for such a small circle. It took away from the beauty of the bamboo circle
