I always sleep with earplugs, but trapped moisture was causing irritation. Now I use these from time to time and it has solved the problem. I would wear them every night, but the price compared to the Mack's is eyebrow raising. I highly recommend these.

One of my 6 year old twin daughters has a perforated ear drum and even with ear plugs gets painful water in her bad ear. We live on a lake so keeping her out of the water is not an option. Having her cry in pain after I was only able to take a little water out with a Q-Tip (cotton pushed way out) was previously my only recourse, but these little marvels really do eventually get most of the water out and help out with a bad situation. Really good and effective for drying ears. But expensive when you add up how many boxes get through with serious weekly swimming. If they were about half the price they would be perfect.

My daughter had tubes in her ears, and now the timpanic membrane has a hole in it. If water gets in there it causes horrible pain. These pull the water right out of her ear relieving the pain. CVS and Walgreens used to carry them, but now they look at me like I am crazy.

Did not absorb the water from my inner ear. These might absorb the water in the outer ear canal but pretty much worthless for anything past the eardrum and into the inner ear. Why not just gently use a Q-tip to soak up the obvious water in the outer canal? Really not worth the money in my opinion. The concept sounded great, but he science and execution just wasn't there. Off to my ENT to get the ear drained and start on the antibiotics. Man, I thought I'd found the solution.......

These earplugs really work. I wish they weren't disposable and I do cheat, dry them out and re-use. I swim daily and it is too expensive to use one per day!

I have Minieres desease so I need to get as much moisture out of my ears as possible to avoid vertigo. I wear them all night with no problems.

My husband is prone to ear infections if he leaves water in his ear after swimming or bathing. The Clearears draw the water out and my husband gets less infections. They work great

These are surprisingly good – very handy to keep in your swim bag – for water that you just can’t shake out of your ear. They work a treat. But there’s a knack to inserting them so they work properly. You should end up with most of the plug in your ear canal, with only a small end sticking out so you can easily remove the plug. Roll the earplug between your thumb and index finger. You want to roll the earplug into a snake-like shape. This will make it smaller so it can be easily inserted into the ear. The foam will expand again once you’ve fitted it inside your ear, then it can absorb water. Make sure that you’re just thinning the ear plug out lengthwise (not rolling it up into a ball).IMPORTANT BIT: Pull your ear up and back. Grab the top of your ear with the hand not holding the ear plug. Stretch it slightly up and backwards. This will pull your ear open a bit, allowing you to more easily insert your earplug. Don’t pull too hard. Just a gentle tug is enough to have your ear expanded enough for the ear plug. Then slowly insert the ear plug into your ear canal. It should easily slide in place with your ear canal expanded slightly. DON'T BURY THE PLUG: while most of the foam body should be in the ear canal, there should be enough of the plug outside the canal that you can easily grasp it with your fingertips. Hold in place for 20-30 seconds. Most of the foam body should be in your ear canal by the end. Then leave it in place for 15-20 minutes. Once in-ear, I don’t feel like these plugs are doing anything … but 15-20 minutes later all the water’s gone.A good buy!

Wife loves them for sleeping as she is easily woken. They are soft on the ears and take out a fair bit of noise.

As an adult who suffers from horrid earaches these are a godsend. My earaches are set off by a number of things, including getting water in my ears. Even a couple of drops can give me the most awful earache. So if i accidentally get water in my ears i pop these in and wow, no earache! They come in a handy plastic box. I always take them to the hairdressers just in case too. I cant undrrstand the bad reviews, these are not earplugs to stop you getting water in your ears, these are to remove water from your ears. They work, thats all you need to know :)
