DOES THE PRODUCT HAVE A SMELL?
Like most plastics, there is a smell shortly after manufacturing that will dissipate in a matter of hours after unpackaging. However, unlike some imported plastics, the vinyl smell is familiar and subtle.
CAN THE MATERIAL TOLERATE HEAT?
Yes, it can take some heat. It can manage temperatures no greater than 150 degrees Fahrenheit, meaning it can tolerate heat anywhere from a hot cup of coffee to high heat from heavy sunlight exposure.
DOES THIS PRODUCT LAY FLAT EASILY?
While many of our products often come rolled up for ease of shipping, the material is formulated to lay flat at 72-74 degrees F. If you don’t see this result within a few minutes, here are a few ways you can speed things up.
A modest source of heat will soften the material to flatten faster if needed. You can:
- Use a blow dryer on a warm setting, holding it about 8 inches from the material. It will soften and settle pretty quickly. For larger items, feel free to place heavy objects on the sections as you soften them.
- You can run hot water on the material or let it sit in hot water for a few seconds. This is extremely easy to do if the item can be fully submersed.
- If it’s warm and sunny outside, lay the material on top of a towel or something similar in the direct sun for a few minutes.

Def’n love the Riverstone more than the Crystal, it’s more forgiving & hides marks more. I got 2 of them custom sized for 2 different desks & they’re great! Had a little hiccup with ordering but customer service worked with me wonderfully👌
