Bought this for my elderly mother after her BOSE stereo suddenly died. She's not much on digital things, or too many buttons, and she just wanted a simple radio. She likes the manual tuner, and the simple, AM, FM, or BT selection buttons. The sound is great, and my only complaint is it not having a place for plugging in an antenna... otherwise, it does the job. The real wood case is a very nice touch as well.

I have had this radio for over a year and it is still working just as well as it did the first day I got it. The sound quality is better than I anticipated, and I have had no trouble picking up the local stations I want to listen to, or with connecting it to my bluetooth. The appearance is charming and fits in well with the vintage furniture and decor in my sitting room. I use it nearly every day.

Nice product,...like the large speaker. Nice wood tone, but think a little english oil wouldhelp to give it a little shine. Don't like not being able to adjust the treble or bass. However,...I would suggest purchasingthis product!

If you're looking for a radio with modern and extremely clear sound then this is not the radio for you. It sounds exactly like older radios. The wood feels authentic and the yellowish coloring on the buttons give it the perfect touch. Couldn't have chosen a better radio. It is comically large compared to most modern radios but that's the charm.

I bought this radio just for fun. I liked the classic look but didn’t have any high expectations as to sound quality etc. I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the all wood cabinet is great and the sound quality and sensitivity is much better than I expected.I live in a heavily populated suburban area with lots of man made radio noise but still the AM reception is surprisingly quiet.

Ordered two of these because the first one didn't operate at all. The radio is handsome enough I tried a second time. Second one had full operation but the veneer was peeling off the side (returned). ClearClick customer service seems fully helpful and ready with quick response, but my two samples suggest you're likely to need them. The wood veneer has good color and wood grain. The cloth speaker screen looks authentic for the era it references. The shape and proportions are classic and can complement a room. Looks really good if you're standing a bit away from it. The on/off switch on the back makes it hard to use if you put it on a bookshelf, but since the back of the cabinet is a presentable wood grain, it looks good from all sides, and I found the on/off switch on the back panel convenient for use with the radio on a table. The dial's warm yellow glow (when on) suggests tube radios from the 50s. Nice touch.Up close, the details don't look as good. Issues include the wobbly tuning knob and wobbly volume knob which seem made of the cheapest plastic. The tuning paper is very faintly printed and wavy under a wavy-flexible thin plastic screen. It won't hinder tuning since most people know the station they want, but it's another thing that doesn't stand close scrutiny. FM/AM/Bluetooth buttons are also loose and rattle in place. But Bluetooth connects easily and works fine. The speakers' sound is loud enough for voice/news for a medium room. It sounded fine until I compared it directly with other small radios at which point the tinny and boxy sound was more evident. If you're lucky enough to get a good one that works and is holding together, it can be a good-looking vintage-style radio on a table in your room. Especially if you always listen to the same news station so you're not taxing it's sound with music, and so you're not stressing its delicate capstan winding string tuning mechanism.

I got this yesterday and am very happy with it. In the picture you can see it sitting next to a Coke can, it is quite large. I bought it as a radio for a steampunk styled room. It reminds me very much of an old fashioned radio (I am 60 and remember what they looked like ...lol). On/off button is on back and easy to find. Dial lights up as does the button which is active. The Radio/BT button toggles between radio and blue tooth mode, when in radio mode you can select between AM and FM. I am not an audiophile or musician but it sounds great to me. As a previous reviewer mentioned probably heavy on the bass. It is very attractive, looks great and sounds great. I could not be more pleased with it.

I was very close to shopping this back because it’s sort of a rip paying this much for a radio that doesn’t deliver well at the AM dial. I hate TV and enjoy morning talk radio shows and spooky Coast to Coast shows at night. These come in strong with my big ugly plastic radio with a long antenna which I don’t have to even extend. I’m in So. CA—two homes in the greater Palm Springs area which isn’t rural and normally picks up many AM stations including strong ones from Mexico. This radio was delivered to my mobile home where it picks up zero AM stations, even with me messing with the little wire antenna. Someone said it’s because of my metal roof, but my other radio gets AM. Then I brought it to my house and I’m able to get a couple stations—luckily one picks up the shows I like. FM gets many stations. I tried the Bluetooth because I like music when I’m cleaning and the sound is great. I like the way the station panel lights up. Man, what a hassle reaching behind to turn it off and on! Why couldn’t they just have made the volume dial also an off-on switch? I like the old time look to it and its colors match my fireplace stones, so I’m keeping it, but I’m not happy for paying that much and wouldn’t do it again.
