These lilac colored carabiners are visually beautiful ✨ and also functionally perfect, ✅ secure, and strong. ðŸ”©ðŸ’ªâœ”ï¸ They're suitable for climbing use 🧗â€â™‚ï¸, securing loads 📦, or rigging setups where failure is not an option. 🚫âŒI use these in situations where the cheaper, non-climbing carabiners (the ones marked "not for climbing use" and found available as keychains or on waterbottles) simply can't be trusted. 😤For instance I use these for securing my behavior-problem dog ðŸ¶â›“ï¸ or for locking up my chicken and rabbit enclosures gates ðŸ”ðŸ‡ðŸšªThose smaller, cheap carabiners break at the worst times—no one wants to walk outside and find out the dogs got at the rabbits. 😱The thumb-operated "locking sleeves" 🔒 on the ones I chose are not spring-actuated.A spring-operated locking sleeve is great when needed, but for my uses, I prefer one-handed operation without having to struggle against a spring. 💪🤲 I simply clip the 'biner into place and manually screw the locking sleeve down before I walk away, but if I'm going to be going in and out a few times I don't need to fight it each time. 🔄ðŸ”You can't go wrong with these awesome, REAL carabiners. 🔗🆠Highly recommended! 🚀

I'll start off by saying that I got these for two reasons, 1) to hold a pair of gloves on a belt and 2) to put on my emergency bag I keep in my truck.Years ago, I had to do a rope rescue on a lake and I had old rope in my truck. It worked, but I was worried the entire time that I was going to have to walk/crawl out on thin ice. Since then, I keep very solid rope in the truck, just in case.Since I spend time in the mountains as well, I wanted to have a good carabiner in the truck in case I ever come across a rappelling needed situation. I'm 6'2", 250, and I have full confidence that this carabiner would hold my weight if needed, as well as almost all other people. I tested this by making a harness and suspending myself from the boxing bag hook in my garage - no issues at all. I swung back and forth and the carabiner didn't bend and unlocked easily when I was done.I'm planning on using this as a weight at the end of the rope when I go camping, to be able to throw over a limb to suspend the food away from camp.I ran a rappelling camp in Boy Scouts many years ago, and the carabiners back then felt heavier and beefier. I'm not sure if materials have just come that far, but this definitely feels lighter. But again, it held my weight with no issue.
