Key was the exact size. It had a 3 inch long shaft.

It was hard to measure to I could get the right size. I did get the right size! Construction is satisfactory.

The key works just fine. However the finish on the "wing" you hold onto leaves a bit to be desired. The wing is a brass stamping and has not been deburred. Therefore the edges and rims of the holes on one side are rough. I plan to smooth the edges - which should have been done by the manufacturer,
