I prefer to use big name brands around the home especially with big equipment like the pool. The instructions and ingredients are clear and easy to understand on the container. We tried it with my sister's pool, it worked just as we expected.This gets four stars for meeting expectations, for me five stars is something that exceeds my expectations, this meets my expectations which is still very good. It is hard for a brand like Clorox to exceed expectations because they are already an established and reliable brand to me, please don't dismiss my rating. I simply have a set range for each rating.

Comparing it to my cheap Menards brand of Alkalinity Up; its hard to tell as it does its job though I think I used a bit less (I measure by the capful). It seemed to up the Alkalinity just like the off brand one; dissolved quick and did its job.
