We have a hall closet close to our entry that stores several heavy coats, farm jacket, camouflage jackets, etc. We already had a wooden pole installed to hold the coats and jackets, but because of the combined weight of the clothes felt we needed more support in the center to keep the rod from sagging or breaking.We also wanted a shelf above the clothes pole for hats and other items. So these brackets are the answer for our situation. They are made to screw into a shelf and fit the existing (or a new one) rod into the brackets. There are 4 included in the pack, but of course you can use the number up to 4 that you need. If you only need on or two, then you will have extra brackets to accommodate other closets as well, which makes them even more affordable.For functionality, ease of installation and durability, as well as affordability, we highly recommend these brackets.

These are heavyweight pole hangers. They perfectly fit the 1-1/4†rod I bought to go in them. I am using them to mount a curtain rod on my timber frame porch. I am pleased with their appearance and quality. But I don’t think they are worth $3.75, each. I think $2-2.50 each would be a more reasonable price.

The Lanmiert closet rod bracket is a well made heavy gage hook. My intended use case is for stowing away some items under my workbench. If you install the hook so it doesn't protrude, you will have I took off one star for the hardware included. While the screws will work they should have been a larger gage to better fit the holes.
