While not 'ultra-light' compared the big name, big $$ options, it's light enough for a bikepacking. It packs/crushes down small enough to fit in my Revelate Sweet Roll (L) along with my sleeping bag and sleeping pad and all fit on my drop bars (about 17") comfortably. (Note: I will be carrying the poles and stakes elsewhere.)Setup is super easy, and only takes a few minutes.Size is perfect for me. I'm 5'10" 170lbs, and stretched out, my head and feet just miss hitting the walls at the head & foot of the tent. Laying in a more natural sleeping position leaves plenty of room. I'm a short-legged/long torso guy and sitting up, my head does hit the top netting a bit... but for everything else this tent is, I can live with that. The width is perfect too, leaving plenty of room to roll over and change positions and/or store a small bag or two inside. Plenty of room to comfortably change clothes. The vestibule is decent, but not huge. Shoes and a backpack, or a few bikepacking bags will fit and keep them out of the rain when it's fully closed. However, the vestibule won't offer much protection for you if you plan to sit partially inside the tent while cooking outside, for example. There are 2 storage nets built-in at the head-end, plus a 3rd larger one that clips to the top near the foot-end. All are very convenient to store phone, wallet, head torch, etc.I really like that the bathtub and additional ripstop material extends pretty high all around. Will work great for hot, wet nights using a separate tarp higher overhead instead of the rainfly (for better ventilation) to prevent splashing inside.I decided to give this a shot after trying an OR Helium Bivy that turns out is not as waterproof as claimed. This tent passed the sprinkler/irrigation test this morning, so no doubt it will do fine in light-to-moderate rain. This is like a bivy, but a lot more versatile for the extra 1.5lbs it adds to the overall shelter weight compared to the Helium... and about 1/2 the price. Definitely recommend.

I love this tent! Here's my impressions after my 5 day Sierra backpacking trip.PROS:1. Lighter than advertised (if you leave extra pegs behind) 3lbs, 12 oz2. Fabric fits smooth and tight over the frame indicating precision sewing. I hate a wrinkly tent!3. Super easy to set up.4. Adjustable ventilation two-layer tent.5. Strong bathtub-style waterproof bottom. No need to use a footprint (saving extra weight)6. Strong taped seams.7. Super smooth zippers.8. Multiple inside storage pockets.9. Nice sized vestibule for covered outside storage. Enough room for your pack, shoes, poles, etc.10. Lightweight sturdy pegs.CONS:1. There is nothing I would change about this tent.SIZING: It is definitely a one person tent. I am 5'7". I had extra room at my feet and head but if you are much over 6 ft. you might need something longer.WIND RESISTANCE:I only used pegs on the four corners and one on each side of the rain-fly. Even in strong Fall winds, it was very sturdy given the crossed-X style support setup. There are other optional tie-down points sewn on to the tent higher up, but they were unnecessary for this trip. It can be used freestanding if you want to.WATER RESISTANCE:I had no rain on this trip but had a few light snow flurries overnight. 100% dry inside. Given the specs of PU 5000 coating, I would assume it would do well in the rain.BOTTOM LINE:Great tent at a great value. If you spend more, you are probably just looking for a name-brand thinking you'll impress someone. I absolutely love this tent and will use it on all my Sierra hikes without hesitation. I'm confident it will last me a long time without issues.

I bought this tent for the rare situations when I want the smallest enclosed tent possible. Even though a 2-person tent doesn't take up much more space in a pack than a 1-person tent, sometimes you just need to save every cubic inch. For those cases, this tent is just fine. The good:* It's small. Inside the included compression sack, it's about the size of a loaf of sliced bread — maybe a shade larger. It's also very light.* It's dead simple to put together. Without even reading the instructions, it took me maybe two and a half minutes to set up. I'm not bragging, there's just not much to figure out here.* Taped seams: I haven't tried it in the rain, but getting taped seams at this price is very nice.* Comes with a hanging organizer, which you will certainly need, because there's no room to store anything in here (for example, laying your eyeglass on the ground next to you would be a terrible idea in this very cramped tent). The bad:* I'm 5'10, 250 lbs, and if I lay down in it with my arms at my sides, my elbows touch the sides of the tent. In a sleeping bag, I'm pretty much squeezed in like a sardine. I know, I know: I bought a small tent, that's the whole point. But if it were like... 10% larger, I think it'd be just about perfect.* It does not feel especially durable. Time will tell on this, but I suppose you get what you pay for.* Because of the size, you can pretty much only sit up in one spot, right in the middle of the tent. Again, that's what you get with a small tent, but the center of the tent is where the organizer hangs, so if you're storing anything, you can't even sit up without bumping into it.* I'd love to have another organizer pocket somewhere in the tent, because, as mentioned, you can't store anything on the ground.Overall, though, happy with the purchase at this price.

As a seasoned camper always on the lookout for gear that strikes the perfect balance between weight and functionality, this lightweight tent has proven to be a game-changer for my outdoor adventures. This tent combines innovative design, durable materials, and featherlight construction to deliver an exceptional camping experience.First and foremost, the weight of this tent is a standout feature. Weighing in at just a few pounds, it's a backpacker's dream. I no longer feel the burden of a heavy pack when carrying this tent, making long hikes to remote campsites more enjoyable and less strenuous. The lightweight design does not compromise on durability; the materials used are robust, ensuring the tent withstands the rigors of various environments.Setting up this tent is a breeze, thanks to its intuitive design. Even solo campers will appreciate the simplicity of the process. The tent's freestanding design means that it can be easily moved and repositioned until you find the perfect spot, adding to its user-friendly nature. The mesh panels provide excellent ventilation, preventing condensation buildup during the night. Additionally, the rainfly does an admirable job of keeping the interior dry during unexpected rain showers.Durability is a key consideration for any tent, and it excels in this aspect. The ripstop fabric and reinforced seams inspire confidence that this tent will stand up to the elements over time. Zippers are smooth and reliable, and the bathtub-style floor prevents water seepage even in wet conditions. In conclusion, this lightweight tent has become my go-to shelter for all my camping escapades. Its winning combination of weight, durability, and ease of use makes it a top choice for backpackers and campers alike. If you're in search of a reliable and lightweight tent that enhances your outdoor experience, it is a stellar investment. Highly recommended!

Ive owned a lot of tents over 55 years and this one exceeded my expectations. For $100CAD this is a fine little tent! Design is simple and functional, quality, construction and materials are very good. Im 6'4" and i have some room to spare at my head as well. Its easy and quick to set up and has some nice features like a clip on storage "shelf/bag" for doodads and a lanyard hook for a lantern. I like the colour too. Overall very good initial impressions. I have a week long bike packing trip coming up and may provide anither review later after some use.

I compare this to my old eureka Midori that is over twice the money. first off it packs up to half the size which I love, the poles breakdown into small increments that make a big difference. The room inside is slight less than the Midori, If I had a choice I would want just a few more inches- do not get me wrong I want a small tent as where I camp flat ground is hard to find but just a few more inches each direction would had made a huge difference. the bag it comes has extra room if you want to add some extra pegs a ground sheet or 2nd Fly/ Trap. I like that the side come up further before the screen starts this allows for better options when sleeping with out a fly and extra protection during storms. It rained better bad- I stayed dry and warm .You can in a pinch use this tent free standby but I recommend pegging it out to get as much floor space as possible with out pegs out the walls sag in a little to close for comfort if it get stormyNegative-pegs suck, bend easy and I Got the wrong # of them. But I was planning on upgrading those.Negative- Quality control- loops and hocks were on the wrong sides both fly and tent- I made it work but would be nice if you got it right. example the Light hock,Negative- Poor floor- but I knew that going in and it save a lot of space so I just bring a good ground sheet and a spare tarp I still pack up smaller than before.Suggestion 2 man tent too big for me- consider making a 1/ 1/2 man tentOverall I got value for the money here. Tested on 7 day trip in Northern Ontario. If you buys this tent you buying it because you want to save on pack space, you going to sleep it in only ---it fits you an nothing else. if your really tall consider other tents
