The hook is sturdy and well made, but doesn't give me as much reach as I had hoped it would. Also, I wish this tool had come with instructions on how to actually use it, and when to use each of the two hooks.

This is a great telescopic pole, high quality! We needed something to be able to reach bird feeders more easily (vs hauling a ladder around, especially in the snow) and this is it! It is very sturdy and at a great price, $15 when ordered. Very happy with this and highly recommend!

I don't know how I lived without a pole like this. Very handy for hanging things like plants. Multiple heads for hanging plants and clothes, and generally great for short people like me! Well made and sturdy!

I ordered this for my husband who has been having difficulties with reaching upward to hang up clothes, or any other task they requires reaching. He seems to really like this, and says it is fantastic for clothes and hangers, but that's about it. He said he wishes it had additional connectors to use for other things. That would take it from a product that can be used for one single thing, to a multi use product. I am in agreement with that. You would think it would have additional parts for exactly that reason. This one only has the hook part. If it had a grabber, for example, or a poker, a scoop of some sort.. that would be awesome. As is, I don't think I would recommend it. It's just not something anyone would be using enough to warrant buying, without other attachments.

I'm short. I've been looking for a pole like this for years, and I'm so glad I found this one. I have curtains up above where you'd normally have them, and now I can open and close them with this pole. I can more easily put clothes on my moveable clothes rack that's pretty high. I can reach anything with some way to catch it with a hook. This helps me so much. It shows up in 3 parts, not counting the interchangeable hooks, and you have to put it together. The parts actually screw together even though the connecting points don't really look like screw points, and the instructions aren't super clear about that. The tightener grip for the extension point is pretty floppy and loose when open, which is a little disconcerting for me, having used many of these types of mechanisms before on tripods and smaller poles and such. It looks like, as long as you're careful with that gripper latch, it should be fine. I'll be keeping an eye on it though.

This is a very handy tool for installing Xmas lights. Avoids climbing a ladder.
