I love these pins and are great for quilting because they are longer than most regular pins other than the plastic top ones with the different shapes. They are also thinner and sharper than the plastic tops. They really hold their points. You can iron over them because the tops are glass.

Good thin long pins that are really sharp for quilting or pinning layers for any quilted type sewing. I wanted a thin (fine) pin to not leave big holes. Normally I use super fine silk pins. And for piecing short silk pins work fine. These are long for pinning poofy layers for quilting. The glass head allows pressing without melting. Because they are thin, they do bend more easily, so handle more carefully.

These pins are so long and sharp and thin. You will definitely curse once or twice while using them. But that's a good thing when you're trying to sandwich together multiple layers and/or complex patchwork. The only thing I would mention is that these pins are quite long, Clover has a shorter version of these with blue and yellow glass heads. This is an amazing price though. They will bend a little bit that's the trade off for using fine thin pins.

I didn’t really think there was difference among pins, but I was wrong! I had purchased flower head pins for quilting from a local hobby-type store. They didn’t seem sharp and bent easily so I tried these Clover pins based on reviews. Wow! They slide right through the fabric, are sharp (ouch!), and are sturdy. Highly recommend the 3-pack - can’t have too many pins! Excellent quality.

Easy to bend if using on thicker /heavier/material. Love the length, sharpness, they stick to my magnetic pin cushion, and have the heat resistant glass heads you can safely iron over..Spendy, but I justified the cost and used part of the gift card I got for Christmas. I have another set of heat resistant pins that are sturdier, I will be using these for thicker/heavier fabrics, they are not as fine and do not stick to my magnetic pin cushion/bowl....They are a pain if you drop the pin cushion/ bowl as they don't pick up well. I bought a small plastic box for these. I would buy these again, bu probably in a 1.5 inch and a heftier pin.

I love the length and the thinness the pins! And they are very sharp. I made a pin cushion just for these pins to keep them separate from the not-as-good pins I had been using.
