All 4 cutting edges of the carbide blade can be used. When the cutting surface becomes dull, the blade can be rotated or replaced instead of replacing the entire drill bit, thus saving your cost.

I was searching for a bit to use with my router plank flattening jig so I picked this one. It is excellent! Very sharp and stays sharp after flattening multiple walnut rough cut boards. The price was great and it is very well made. I would recommend it.

This bit is extremely sharp and well built. Only recommendation, you need a very powerful router to handle its weight or it will burn up the tool

The box included holding the screws is clearly designed to hold spare blades. Where are they? Good router bit quality and sharpness. Wish it came with spare blades and not just extra screws that are not needed

WOW! This bit does a superb job. It powered through the depth of the bit edge as if the ash wood was not present. It spit wood chips at me so hard and fast I needed to stop and cover my arms and use a full face mask protector. First cut set too deep, 3/8", width of cutter head, by mistake but it produced a surface 2" wide, smooth and flat, no tear out, probably 150-180 grit smooth and never slowed the router RPM. Finished off 3 log slabs, top and bottom in less than one hour

I've flattened 5 slabs - 60"long, 30"wide ... works great and for the price its even better! Came in a nice case for when not in use.

Nice bit, only one thing router must be powerful ( like 2,5 HP + ).Make reasonably good surface ( no strokes ), and light sanding enough for next step if any.

I bought this bit for flattening resin projects. It has exceeded my expectations with the finish & ease of use. Another bonus is the extra blades, that way in a year when they dull you don't have to scramble to find another set if your in a hurry.
