Just a word of warning to start off, even though this is a 500 W power inverter, you have to wire it directly to the battery in order to achieve that. If you use the cigarette lighter cable, it is only rated for 150 W. So be aware! Having said that, I bought the necessary size cables 5 AWG, 60 amp fuse, and wire loom to protect the wires, installed it in my work truck turned it on and worked flawlessly. All told I was in for around $100.

Very easy to install. Has all the functions that I needed. No noise that I can hear. Mounted it up under my seat in my 2017 ram 3500. Very good quality. Charging speed if awesome. Love the fact that it has an USB port also. Very quick shipping.

So they claim it's 6000 Watts Peak and 3000 Watts Continuous well it ain't let me explain my setup.I have this connected to my AGM Deep Cell Advance Auto Premium Battery with a 200A inline fuse connected to a 2/0 Copper Conductor and a 2AWG going to the frame as my ground. The 2/0 conductor is probably 15ft long and the black conductor was provided by cobra in this kit. I figured since I was gonna be running a longer conductor I should upsize from what the manufacturer provided. (2AWG 48 inches)I have this mounted in my service truck that consists of maintenance on tractors, off road vehicles, light trucks and cars.In some cases you need a compressor well instead of spending stupid money on one of the permanent vehicle mounted compressors I figured I'd buy this and surely it'd have enough Wattage to run my secondary compressor that I would use on my service truck but nope now that compressor is a Kobalt probably couple years old but it'll do 4 CFM at 90 and 6 CFM at 40 just to give you an idea it's not a huge compressor only 8 gallon with a 2 horsepower electric motor rated at 1,800 watts continuous and 2,300 watts peak according to Lowes website and the manufacturers manual.I don't understand why Cobra is advertising that this is 3000 watts because it certainly isn't its barely 1500 this test was done with the truck running and the compressor ran for about a second and then the inverter started flashing OL on the display. Guess I'll be boxing this up and sending it back. If you need it for real work using real machines this thing is junk don't get it.

I love the features on this thing. The fact that it has a low voltage cut off and warning is just great. Then I don’t have to add any additional 12 V cut off switches in my car or anything and it makes the wiring easier and cleaner. This thing is great. I can run a gaming laptop pulling 200 watts and charge my portable power bank at the same time off of this and neither one of them cuts off.

I bought for my rv to run my heating pad which is 120v 180w. It would not power it from the 12v outlet. I briefly hooked directly to the house batteries and it worked but I will have to find some heavy duty wires and run it to the back of the rv to make use of it. Not really worth it unless you plan on a direct connection.

Bought this to power Halloween decorations from my Jeep and this thing still had power left to use even after plugging in 12 animated figures and 3 huge blowup props. Now to have it permanently installed in the Jeep 😊

Got this because it is generally reviewed as quality brand. First of these portable inverters I have used. Tried it out today to make sure it worked, while hooked up directly the battery of my SUV it would NOT run: a full size fridge, a full size freezer. It would run (even when only hooked up to the cigarette lighter): one element of a small space heater, cell phone etc.I was hoping it would run a single fridge or freezer (in the event of a power outage), and should have based on the 500W rating. Or perhaps the initial surge of the appliance turning on was simply too much for it (believe it is rated to 1000W surge), but anyhow, if you too were hoping to use it for that - get a bigger model!

This is made with cheap plastic one drop and it can break. While plugged into the cigarette outlet it would turn off. It was really good when it worked powered up most small 120v devices.
