Proof is in the pudding... er... in this case whiskey sour, I guess. Tested the kit out with this sour, made with the egg white, because it's the right way (in my opinion) and it gave me a chance to test the shaker's tightness/seal on a dry shake and then with ice. Also, tested the strainer on shaken ice and the thicker frothed beverage. Happy to report it performed, as needed. No ice chunks in the drink, and no mess on my counter.I like the double sided 1oz/2oz jigger; the lines marking fractional ounces is nice. I didn't plan on using the stand, but once I got it all out, it really is a nice and convenience to store/sort - so it's now being utilized. Stainless is easy to clean, as expected. The spoon is a decent length; getting deep on a tall glass stir might be inconvenient with the flat top on the spoon, but that's a very minor complaint. I, personally, prefer a wooden muddler, so this one might not get much use, but I can't ding it any points for that.All in all, it's a solid bar kit that covers your basics and does so in a functional way. Maybe the whiskey sour I'm sipping has me in a good mood, but I'm quite satisfied with this kit - if you're looking for a basic bar kit, this definitely fits the bill, and does it well.
