What is a Mug Warmer?
A mug warmer is a device that works similar to the way electric kettles do. It has heating coils and elements that gradually heat and maintain a steady temperature.

A lot of these warmers are too large for my small desk, but this fit so well (just 4-7/8" diameter) I got a second one for my nightstand (keeps the tea warm while I read before bed). Love the rose gold trim color. You do have to "hit" the power/temperature spot pretty strongly. Highest heat keeps coffee piping hot; if you use cream and leave it on a long time at high setting, the cream will form a skin. But that does take a long time LOL. The warmer has "rubber" feet, but a lot of heat comes off the bottom. So use a cork pad or a trivet to prevent table surface damage.

Been using it for a while now, it's pretty decent.Does what it should. The lack of a lip around the edges is the main reason I bought this because it allows me to keep bowls of soup heated or other large containers.But sometimes it does seem to randomly shut off on its own which is somewhat annoying (like after a few minutes, not the 4 hours it's supposed to), and a couple times I tried turning it on in the morning and it simply would not activate, but when I came back 10-20 minutes later it would work again.By the way, it works well at heating up cold drinks, as long as you put a lid on them first.

I just got this a few days ago so I can’t speak to the longevity. However, so far I am very happy with this mug warmer. I kept leaving my tea around or forgetting to drink it while working and always find my mug partially full with cold tea. I have an old mug warmer at work that works great, but I work from home most of the time so wanted a new one for the house.This warmer is very asthetically pleasing, and works well. I was a little annoyed by the writing on the surface as that wasn’t included in the product photos, but it’s not horrible. I removed the ugly caution sticker on it as it already has a warning on the surface.The warmer has a touch power button on the surface that cycles between hot, warm, and off. I always use hot (red). It does turn itself off after four hours as described, which is a good feature as I’ve found my office mug warmer left on overnight and over the weekend... oops!! The most important part is that it does keep my tea quite hot if left there immediately after brewing it, and if I’ve left it around and it’s cooled, it does slowly heat up just like my old one does (and my old office one is still going strong from circa 2002!!). I haven’t timed it but it seems to heat up a cold cup in maybe 20-40 minutes or so. I also included pics to show the type of mug I’ve been using that it works well with (the orange and blue mugs in the pic are the same style). The bottom is not completely flat but it still heats the mug very well.As long as this holds up I’ll be very happy with it!! I’ve been testing this in the kitchen but plan to use it in the office. I’m contemplating getting another to keep in the kitchen or dining area as well!

I purchased this product for my wife. The product in beautiful. However, the product has two flaws. It does not keep the hot drink warm enough. The best temperature to drink hot tea or coffee is around 140 F. She basically said it did not keep her tea warm.Using a glass mercury based thermometer from Sargent Welch, which can measure the temperature range 0 - 230 F, and starting with pouring boiled water into a cup with a flat bottom, the cup was placed on the cup warmer turned on to the high setting (red) listed in the manual as keeping drinks between 122 - 140 degrees F. The following temperature measurements were made. Time: Temp 3:41 pm 180 F 4:09 pm 146 F 4:24 pm 142 F 4:41 pm 138 F 4:56 pm 135 F 5:11 pm 132 F 5:26 pm 130 F 5:41 pm 128 F 5:56 pm 126 F 6:11 pm 125 F 6:26 pm 125 F 6:41 pm 125 F 6:56 pm 125 FAt 125 F the temperature is tepid. So while it maintained appropriate drinking temperature for an hour, it eventually revealed it actual warming temperature as 125 F (51.67 C).The second flaw is that it is made for cups with flat bottoms. Most cups available in North America have a slight raised ring and are not flat bottomed. This fact severely limits usefulness.

I bought this one for my office at work, and I have a completely different one for my office at home. My home warmer doesn't do as great of a job in heating paper cups as this one does. I have to put a silicone cover over my mugs at home to get the temperature to at a good place. THIS baby is so pretty, but doesn't call too much attention or take up too much space. It keeps my paper mugs nice and hot without a cover even with overhead a/c and a fan running. I also love the size of the surface area. It's so large that if I wanted to keep a bowl, or soup mug warm, I'd have no problems fitting it on the warmer. Very happy with this product.

Used an old warmer for a while and loved it so I jumped to buy this pretty rose gold one. Looks exactly like the pictures, very nice and sleek, easy to use. Just doesnt work great. Keeps hot fresh coffee hotter longer is all I can say it does and that's on its highest setting, I dont even know how there's a lower setting to be honest. The plate heats up very hot just not the coffee I dont really understand. So for me it's only worth it for looks.

I had a habit of letting my tea get cold as I worked. Not the worst thing, I still drank it. But this pretty little warmer has changed that. I use it every day and it works great and looks great on my desk. It has two settings and it shuts off for safety after a long while. I like that it gives me plenty of time before shutting off. Like I said, I tend to sip my tea over a period of a couple hours. It would annoy me if it shut off too soon, and worry me if it didn’t shut down after a really long time. So it is just right for my weird tea drinking habits. Love it. Will buy again for home.
