The instructions printed on the package are pretty vague. But if you do everything correctly, this can repair your stove. I repaired a Coleman 442 Duel-Fuel that I have been using since 1989 or so. A few months ago I tried pumping and it did not catch or pressurize some of the time. Once I removed the pump I think the problem was the black plastic "pump cup" developed a small crack near the central hole (after 30 years, fair enough). This vendor notes that this part "does not fit" the 442 model, but if you only need a new pump cup, you can switch yours out with this one. The metal rod is longer than one needs in the 442 so would hang out another cm or two. To replace the pump cup, you first need to remove the push nut they installed to keep the cup from falling off. This is NOT easy and if you are not careful you can damage the pump cup. The kit provides a second push nut if you destroy the first one taking it off. But my recommendation for removing it is to use needle-nose pliers. And do not push the needle-nose towards the hole so the point is hidden, but instead run the needle nose along the side of the hole. Look carefully and you will see the 3 parts of the push nut are jammed into a indentation on the metal rod. You need to slightly torque each of those 3 parts of the push nut upwards out of the indentation at the same time trying to lift the pliers to pull each part of the push nut towards the end of the rod and out of the indentation. Work slowly and it can be done without damaging the pump cup. You might do the same on your original. Then take the new white pump cup washer and the new black pump cup and place them on the original (shorter) rod (cup outwards!). Then add the new push nut by hand until is snaps in place. Then the instruction ask you to oil the pump cup and insert it without inverting it. This is also very hard, so go slow and careful to make sure none of the feather edges of the cup become inverted.

Installed in about 5 minutes following a YouTube how to video, not very hard at all as long as your somewhat savvy with using your hands & you have basic tools & materials on hand such as need needle nose pliers & motor oil for lubrication (Very important) or else you'll be having to swap out the seal often. The pump itself is built solid & is a perfect fit so long as your Coleman product is compatible, just check the description for compatible part numbers. I'm very satisfied with this replacement pump!!

It works. Not much else to say. Just have needle nose pliers at the ready. The little push on washer is a bear to get off and back on.

Bought to replace pump in my old Coleman Lantern, over 40 years old. Works perfectly! Lantern lights again. Since it was an older style lantern you have to take pump apart, but they provide replacement pieces to make reassembly easy.

Old fuel tank works like new! My red furs tank on my three burner old Coleman stove was a pain in the neck to get pressurized! The old rubbery / leather piston was extremely worn! This simple kit was super easy to use and install and fit my fuel tank like brand new. I took it out for a weekend camp this summer and the old stove ran like a charm! Great way to save money!

Needed a new pump for my 220K the original pump has a permanently pinned shaft that did not allow for replacement of the pump cup. The new pump assembly did require some disassembly to change the new pump to the older retaining clip style pump housing. All in took less the 10 min to update my 30 year old Coleman lantern. Replaced the pump, cap seal and generator on the 220K and expect that the lantern will last another 30 years.

It's good product but it wasn't ready to use, I had to make couple of adjustments to it. Sadly it didn't fix the problem but after using it, I can see it wasn't the products faults. But if this is the problem with your coleman gas tank, I would buy it, it does the job of replacing the the worn out gaskets.

Made the mistake of using a windscreen too tightly around a large pot and the heat melted my old pump assembly. I did note I bought the wrong pump for the 440 but the only difference was the length of the pump stem... and it works perfectly. Cannot fault the product for that. in a pinch this will work on the duel fuel 440 if you don't mind the pump sticking up a bit.
