These paint cups with lids are made of first rate plastic, sturdy and will most likely last forever. The slippery texture is what makes them so easy to clean with just plain water. The lids are flexible rubbery-like plastic, easy to remove, so if you leave paint in them for any amount of time, you will need to be aware of how you store them (I would suggest upright to leave no room for leaking, not that l know if they would leak or not because I did not test them for that) But if you leave them out and accessible to small children, just know that most any child could easily remove the lids. Not sure how long the paint will remain fresh if left in the cups with the lids on, but I do not see why the paint would have any reason to last less long than putting it back into the original bottles. As for the drip-less design of the cups, it's a marvelous idea which works like a charm. As the brush is put into the lid, the opening gets smaller like a funnel which aims the paintbrush directly into the middle of the paint that is in the cup. And when the brush is pulled back out, it can then be scraped it on the edge of the small part of the hole to remove any excess paint, thus lessening the chances for drips. I am so glad I purchased these cups for when grandkids visit and they ask for them specifically so I know they appreciate using them too. It makes painting with our grandkids so much simpler, with way less clean-up which is a plus! The cups can be purchased in a myriad of colors which is so nice....we purchased the basic white, black, blue, red, yellow, but also added a green, orange, purple and a turquoise. I could not be any more delighted with this purchase and would most definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to encourage their children to paint. Or as a gift, though the child who would most enjoy receiving it as a gift would probably appreciate some paints and brushes to go with it. And perhaps a Painter's Smock. Enjoy!

These cups seem quite durable, they are the perfect size for my easel and I love that I can cap the paints and reuse them the next time without wasting so much paint. These are so good!I bought matching brushes to help kids know to not put the yellow brush in the red paint and these help so much. The combo is a must for any early learning classroom.

We love the cups. My grandson just turned 4 and he has a blast with them. They feel sturdy and the lids are all the right color and fit. I gave this four stars because the photo shows brushes. I actually read the description carefully so I was prepared but they should change their photo.

I have been using these for my 4 year old. She has made some big messes in the past with paints but I can let her paint with confidence using these. I even left the room for half an hour and came back to no mess at all. Instead of using water to clean her brush I just make sure there is a separate brush for each paint pot. When she is done I just slap the cover on and save what is left for next time. It is less waste and less clean up.

Way overpriced for what they are. I didnt read the fine print and didnt realize there wasnt any brushes included or I would have bought a cheaper set.
