My 11 year old got some of these for Christmas and was entertained for almost a week. I prefer my kids learn skills with their busy hands, rather than play mindless games. These are just great for that. I would buy 4 or so of this level patterns to learn on before moving your child up to the harder versions. The frame is cheap and the backing cardboard from the box it came in, but what do you expect out of a $5ish price point? I think they are awesome in price and quality.

The first one of these I ever bought for my kids was the same size/skill level/materials but it was a cross stitch one, where they had to make "x's" and this proved to be a bit difficult. I was MUCH happier with this one, which instructs them to make "/" slant marks, with no x's. It looks much better in my opinion and much easier for my 6-8 year old kids.

This review is written by my daughter, age 8: This is a good product I like it very much but is tricky and needs grown-up supervision just in case because after the one lined that I did at the top I didn’t know immediately how to do the next with the string I had. And tricky to get the needle and make sure to use the paper like it says on instructions OK.

This kit comes with everything your little crafter needs to get the job done. The instructions are easy to read and understand. Once complete, it instructs to just tape the mesh into the yellow frame that comes with it. Simple as can be.

the drawing and the colors and the yarn are perfect, but the needle isn't! the yarn is too thick to go through the thread hole, and the plastic needle bent and broke!also, the dye comes off the plastic canvas so you have to guess the picture when you're partially finished with the needlework.

Great little project. Tricky for kids to learn at first, and depending on age they'll probably need a good bit of help, but very fun and cute

I am an accomplished needle pointer and I got these for my grandchildren. Very hard for them to use because the plastic grid doesn't bend so each stitch has to be pushed in and pulled back up. Not a natural way to needlepoint

I've been buying these for my 90 year old grandmother. She used to be able to cross stitch, sew, and craft in her younger years, but the older she gets, the harder it has become, due to tremors and arthritis. She absolutely loves these. The bigger holes and needles are so helpful. I'll continue to buy these for her. Please make a lot more patterns, because you now have a lifelong customer.

The kit is cute, my only issue is that it’s missing a needle! Also the box was practically crushed, luckily the frame wasn’t cracked as it’s just plastic. I was going to give it as a present but given the condition I wasn’t able to do that
