I love to embroidery but I am not an artist. I tried wool threads, even in one strand, wool is too thick and fuzzy to accurately stitch to make fill ins look good. One or even two stands of 6 strand floss does not look right for filling in and 6 strands is entirely too thick. I had tried size 8 pearl cotton but the legacy company makes very few colors and none that are gradient. These threads are perfect for stitching close while the thickness makes those filling stitches look smooth. The gradients of the colors available to make the embroidery look elegant is awesome. I could not be more grateful for finding the medium with which I can practice my favorite hobby for years to come. I hope that many that find that 6 strand floss or the tediousness of 1 strand long and short is just not for them - find their way to this treasure of colors of pearl cotton for their projects. Due to the nature of the thread being thick enough to fill in and lay well but thin enough to be flexible, there is the very occasional kink that is easily untwisted and there is no risk of the thread breaking. What I have learned is to let the thread hang down from the project every now and then to naturally untwist. Doing that keeps it from those occasional kinks and leaves the thread with no tension so that it lays on the project with the natural texture to the thread instead of being stretched thin. I could not be happier with a product and have ordered my second gradient in yellow.

I bought these because I was crocheting school, spirit, letters for my daughter. I was very pleasantly surprised with the amount of thread on each spool, which last surprisingly longer than one might anticipate. Quality of my finished product was just as good as if I had used a namebrand thread. I also liked having the gradient choice between color schemes.

The thread was ok but shredded while cross-stitching. The colors were bright and beautiful as pictured.

Use these little bundles for hand quilting. Beautiful colors, nice shine and so far has been very sturdy! No shredding and no knots! Don't know how it does in the wash yet as I've just finished my quilt! But these days anywhere I can save a few bucks I'm gonna try it! Threads material and notions have been really expensive lately ! This pearl cotton has been great so far have no complaints

Terrible terrible price for what was received. I should have been more careful reviewing the description. Ends up being $10 for teeny tiny ball - 45 yds. Very disappointed!
