This Columbia Boys' Backcast II Short is a nice pair of shorts for wet summer fun! They do have a mesh inner and are made from what I would call typical boys' swimsuit material. They are true to the sizing on the product listing, but their waistband is also nicely elastic, so you could size up if your kid is between sizes. Recommended!

Good quality shorts for outdoor use. Perfect for hiking, kayaking or swimming. Decent in seam length not too long or too short. (Don't understand the resurgence of the John Stockton shorts)Don't love the mesh liner but I know some people really like that.Dry quickly and don't look like a swimsuit so ok to where anywhere.

These shorts are your typical old style SWISH PANTS fabric! They are good for fishing, swimming, have a netting barrier inside the shorts like you would see on trunks. These size L would fit a small boy about 100 lbs. There is no drawstring nor pockets.
