The Columbia Bora Bora Booney was an absolute lifesaver on my Caribbean cruise! This is my second hat, which I do not wear happily, but it gives good coverage to block the sun and is reasonably comfortable. The inner band rolls down sometimes a bit making it uglier but the gray keeps the sun from reflecting. The straps broke off (why I bought another one) but I did not think I'd use them anyway, but this is very lightweight and occasionally you need to use the straps in mild winds to avoid losing it, the rest of the time I let them dangle in back. If I hate it, why did I buy a second one? If you, like me, need the sun protection to avoid skin cancer this is a logical option, comfortable, and folds up easily. But stylish, it's not.

It's a well made hat, very good quality. Fitting is good, color is as expected and looks are great. Provides good sun protection. Definitely recommended without any hesitation.

It’s very lightweight and comfortable. You can fold it and wash it with no damage, it’s very durable material but it will start to get floppy if you really beat it up. I have a large head and it fits well, there is an adjustment strap to custom fit it. A great practical hat for sun and rain.

I spend a lot of time doing yardwork in our 1/2 acre backyard. I bought the hat to keep the sun off my face. I don't like to get too much sun, for fear of skin cancer. The hat brim is nice and wide, but not too wide. The vent that goes around the crown works great to let the breeze through for a terrific cooling effect. I love that the chin strap stays put and that the crown can tightened or loosened. I have long thick hair, which I like to keep off my neck, because it holds in the heat. Tightening the crown drawstring helps to keep my hair up and in place. No fringies tickling my face and no ponytail hanging down to make me hot.

If I wasn't so ugly, I'd post a pic. These are nice fitting and a great modern look. I bought it in several colors for adventuring/hiking and yardwork. I'm really becoming fond of this brand.

The hat itself is fine, but I don’t understand why they changed the shape of it to make it exaggeratedly oblong instead of the more circular shape the hats from last cycle were!! It’s comically oblong now

This is the second time purchasing this hat. It is perfect! I wear it in the water and on the sand. The wind is no concern because the hat is adjustable and doesnt move! It washes well and my head never sweats. I also love the colour!

Great hat! Light, airy and comfortable. The brim is pretty floppy though, but you can ball the whole thing up pretty small so it’s worth it. It doesn’t, however, have the “neck curtain†thing that some of these (Bora Booney II?) have. It isn’t necessary though, because the brim is wide enough to totally protect your neck. Shipped amazingly quickly. Totally satisfied.
