Worked well to pull my 2,000 lb. tractor out of the mud. Make sure you disengage both palls when you pull the line out, or you may get hit with the rotating handle. Just ask me how I know:)

The operation of this cable come a long is very good. What gives me a little trouble is the cable always spins into a mess with no tention on it. The cable is strong but has a springy memory . I've had cables that are dead and jutst sit there as you reset your pull. I like that better. I'll buy it again.

I received the 1st one which was resealed after what looked like one use by someone who didn't know what they were doing. Both inner and outer boxes suffered damage due to improper repack. The cable was severely tangled, and had a couple of kinks. I didn't want to trust it, so put in for a replacement. The 2nd unit was fine. I'm using it for moving heavy machinery in my cabinet shop. I moved a heavy shaper weighing about 1000 lbs with ease. I will be doing more of this as I sell off equipment due to retirement. This winch will be kept in my truck for any utility use, and should serve me well. I reccomend getting the one with the longer cable, although it helps if you tether such loads with heavy chain, and just reset the snatch point with closer links toward the load. I moved this machine 11 ft in about 5+ minutes with one winch reset. The mechanism works very smoothly!

seems to pull fine, cable is super stupid shirt, but says that in description, so puling more than 2.5 feet, not gonna happen. trying to let the tension off or lower something slowly, not gonna happen, the release for let cable out is hard to use, need 2 maybe three hands to use this thing. would definaely goa differnt rout if you want to actually use something like its intended to be used.

So far so good. I really like the simplicity of the mechanics on this one. I had another one that had a flimsy frame around the mechanism, you can guess what happened to that one: the handle bent and the mechanism got glitchy. This now one was the best I’ve used so far. I was able to lift up a 30 degree leaning pine tree about 20†diameter and 20’ long trunk back up and tilt it down to 30 degrees to the other side of the foreign property where it belongs. Lol. Could have rented a chain saw but I wanted to have some fun instead. It’s rated for 2 tons operational but I suspect it’s failing limit is much higher. For the price - it’s great.

The 4 ton feature is achieved by a double back pulley. Taking this double back pulley out makes this tool into a heavy duty 2 ton puller with what is , for my purposes, a puller with twice the pull travel length.

You only get about 4 usable feet of cable length, makes it pretty difficult to move things any distance with it.
