I have a pair of grounding shoes that work well with these. I definitely feel less sore after hard workouts when I wear the grounding shoes outdoors with the socks. When I come inside, I connect a grounding cord to the snap on the sock to continue the effect. Nice that I can ground with the socks instead of having to apply a strap or adhesive patch. I have only hand washed and air dried these these since they are made of silver fiber but they came through just fine. Although not mentioned in the ad, do not add fabric softener to silver thread products as it can interfere with proper function. Being silver, you don't have to wash them as often as a cotton sock since the silver fibers are naturally antimicrobial. The socks are odor free. The only flaws are that they are not as soft and stretchy as a regular sock and they fit a narrow foot (like mine) better than a larger foot, so one star off for comfort.
