Got this to help fix the wiring in a handheld radio for the sailboat. However they were not the correct size, they did not come small enough. The tools that came with it, like the tweezers, were useful. The box does keep the compartments separate, but the latches are not very strong...if you drop it on an edge, it will likely pop open and scatter all the small parts.

Have used this pin kit for the past few months now to repair various connectors on cars and trucks, as well as building various connectors for my equipment on our property. These pins have held up well and none of them have shown any signs of corrosion, degradation, loosening up, or lost spring tension in the crimp areas. The addition of the pin release keys and tweezers adds extra value to this set, as without them you cannot take apart any of the connectors to even assemble them. Granted, they aren't as strong as my professional release tools but for the shade tree mechanic they will work fine. There is a good variety of these pins provided and they should work fine for most cars newer and older, however I feel this style leans towards the older department - manufacturers *love* changing things to keep you buying more!!!

case arrived with all of the components mixed together. it was no longer sorted. buyer beware. it was a headache trying to find 2 like connectors.

I had 2 projects in mind for this kit.I have a compact stereo with proprietary speaker plugs that I wanted to lengthen the wires. These pins worked fine for that.And I'm going to add an aftermarket backup camera to an Accord by tapping into the stock wiring harness. These pins should allow me to do that without having to buy and run a whole new OEM wire harness.
