Not ideal for long water sports ropes but for less lengthy cords or ropes it would be perfect.

These are probably meant for bigger rope than kite string, but they work great for kite string.

Using this to wind up some small anchor line and it does a fine job of that. I tried tossing the anchor while holding the handle and letting it unwind on its own but the handle popped off. Guess its meant more for light duty use. Otherwise, it does the trick.

Reviewing this for the picture. This is 100ft of 3/16in shock cord. It has plenty of room and I think 1/4in would also fit well. The handles swivel nicely and its nice that it has holes in each of the ends so its easy to tie off.

I have two anchors, one smaller for securing the rear when beached and one for open water. Not sure that I can say anything the others haven't already except that in comparison to my red, square shaped winder on the smaller anchor, the legs on this one make it superior. It winds up 100' of 3/8 anchor rope like it wasn't even there.
