I haven't used it to fry yet but I have used it to blanch some veggies prior to freezing and for small batch canning. It really is versatile. It's the perfect size for smaller families or individuals. The basket is elevated so it doesn't sit directly on the bottom. So happy I bought it!

Yep, it boils water alright. The diameter size perfectly fits my small electric burner. It takes a little longer to heat up using med-high heat on Stainless Steel than high heat on non-stainless steel. I only fill it about 1/2 to 2/3 full and then shove the spaghetti down as it softens. The lid with vent hole is good for heating up but once it boils the vent hole is not large enough to let enough steam to escape fast enough so the pressure eventually makes the lid jump and water/oil splatters about 6" around the pot. So now I put the pasta in and leave the lid ajar. Glad I got it. Looks nice too. I also like the tight weave in the basket - holds the past in if you use the basket instead of a strainer.

This is the perfect size for single people and even 2 people who eat lightly. I have always loved my french fries. But baking them does not have the crispiness that you crave. And I am becoming afraid of the fries that you purchase from fast food and restaurants. As they are cooked in machine oil now adays due to cost. Look up the history of most cooking oils. Look up McDonalds fry oil USA vs EU. ANd why the Europeans do not cook the way we do. I do not believe we should consume oil. And I have heart issues already so only want tiny portions of certain foods and this helps.

Cumplió la encomienda para freÃr unas quesadillas, alcanzan para tener entre 2 y 3 piezas chicas, no creo que tengan problema con dumplings o otras comidas como camarones empanizados, papas, etc.

Arrived very, very well packaged with no Styrofoam at all, which is a win in my book. The pot is exactly as described, small enough to handle easily and more than large enough to cook asparagus for about 12 people. Will also be great for other uses. I am very pleased.

Compre esta ollita para preparar verduras al vapor, la construcción parece muy sólida, las agarraderas vienen remachadas, su acabado externo es pulido. la primera que recibà se empezó a oxidar al primer uso, adjunto fotos, la segunda hasta el momento se ve bien, tengo ya dos o tres semanas con ella y la uso a menudo.
