Effective and inexpensive ground clamps that fit nicely on my already installed ground rods. The included small wrench fits the bolt but is too small to get a good grip on to tighten it down, easily remedied with a regular wrench. Right size, fits well and has a tight grip on the #10 gauge copper wire for my Ham radio station.

This is a top-quality ground rod clamp that you can clamp a ground wire to a grounding rod driven into the ground. I have a grounding rod in the front of my house next to my porch to connect the ground wire from a portable generator. We lose power for several hours two or three times a year after a major storm, ice storm, or a lighting strike on some power pole feeding our power line. I have two generators (yes, one is a backup) to keep the natural gas furnace, refrigerator, and a few lights operating. The NEC (National Electrical Code) requires generators to be grounded properly, and I have driven a ¼â€, 8-foot, copper ground rod into the earth near where I place the generator outside the house. It is helpful to tin (coat with solder) the end of a stranded grounding wire to connect to this clamp, as it makes for a better connection (if you are not using a solid wire). A small open-end wrench is supplied with the clamps to tighten them to the ground rod (with the grounding wire you provide). The product description says this is not designed for direct burial (ground wires and grounding rods for residential house electrical systems are normally fully buried).
