I have not owned a hot glue gun in a long time, so I didn't know what to expect. Will my Makita batteries honestly fit this unit? How long will it take to heat up? How does the trigger feel? I have to say I am very impressed. It is heavy duty enough to feel stout, but not unwieldy. It snugly fits my Makita batteries just like any other tool I have. I feel like I have very good control over the flow of glue coming out with the trigger, and the application tip where the glue comes out is more precision than I had thought it would be. I'm able to lay a very precise bead of glue. Most importantly, it heats up FAST! Using the smallest battery I have, it heated up enough to dispense glue (within probably 15-20 seconds from cold). This is critical in my mind, because if it takes a while to heat up every time I want to use it, I likely won't use it as much, so I'm excited.

I've been using this thing for about a year and have been extremely happy with its performance!! You never know how amazing a cordless hot glue gun is until you try it. I built several large props for my school and held everything together with hot glue from this gun. It was so convenient. It does go through batterys quickly, but I only have the smallest 1.5ah batteries, so just keep that in mind, and I do wish it had a couple different heat settings. But overall, Great product! Feels high quality, and at a great price! Love my cordless hot glue gun!

I ordered one of these in May. I did not use it until August when I was setting up my classroom. It would not heat much less melt the glue. I reached out to the company through Amazon and the product was replaced. The replacement works perfectly and heats up quickly. It's easy to use and can be used anywhere as it is not confined to a cord! The customer service I received was top notch! They responded to my inquiry within two hours and the replacement was shipped within the same day. Will not hesitate to purchase another product from this brand or seller!

I received the item earlier this week and just tested it last night. I used a Makita BL1840B battery for testing. The gun was heated up within 5 minutes. The trigger pull was smooth and a good amount of glue came out easily. So as far as the item itself, so far so good. The shipping/packaging left a bit to be desired. I am amazed the item was actually in the box when it came. A shipping label was just slapped on the product box. It was not placed inside another Amazon box. The item box was not taped shut at all. Only 2 cardboard tabs that could easily be opened at any point during shipping were keeping the box closed. There was also no packing material in the box. The item was loose in the box with only the instructions.Bottom line, the product passed my initial test. Will have to wait and see how it holds up through regular use. The shipping/packaging definitely needs to be a lot better.

If I could give 6 stars I would. You do need to have Makita 18v batteries in your arsenal of tools, we do…many! This is not a Makita item but it runs on standard 18v Makita batteries. Quality and build could pass as a Makita item.! This was a game changer for us during Halloween setup. Before getting this gun we would have multiple glue guns plugged in and calling “is there a glue gun anywhere? Then you would have to have to unplug it and use it while its hot and get it plugged back in somewhere. While we didn’t measure how long this unit runs on a charge, its roughly an hour with a 3Ah battery and well over an hour if we used the 5A battery. But so nice to be able to hot swap and it heats up fast so it was never an issue. If I had two very small suggestions:1. I wish for a low power /standby mode to extend its run time. We often have multiple guns on all day. It would be nice to have a standby 50% temp mode.2. For the power indicator light to flash brightly when the battery is getting low.Other than that this hot glue gun is perfect! Buy one, you will not regret it.

I really like this glue gun with one caveat, I will give ratings then explain.Pros:• Works as described and works on both Makita and Makita clone batteries.• Feels well made (mostly) nice brass tip solid feeling body• Heats glue up well and works like a charm when up and running.• Good customer serviceCons:• Be wary about squeezing the trigger before the glue is fully heated.I bought this gun since I have makita tools in my garage and it was compatible and at a good price, its nicely designed and fits right in and could pass for another makita product at a glance. The gun has an on switch and a nice bright light on the base to tell you it is turned on. It accepts full size sticks, not the mini ones. I used it a few times and was really happy. This was until I turned it on and did not give it enough time to warm up to full temperature. I squeezed the trigger with a moderate amount of pressure and the feeder device for the glue sticks snapped and stopped feeding. Now this is not the first glue gun I have owned, though it is my first cordless and I have never broken a feeder mechanism before so i was not giving it the gorilla grip. I reached out to the company, through the information that came with the glue gun and they requested a proof of purchase, with that they sent out a new one with out any issues. I still like the gun but I am going to make sure it is fully heated in the future before I pull the trigger again. I gave it 5 stars because mine may have been a lemon, and the company was quick to resolve it and I do like it.

This tool is great on the run, it does take awhile to get hot. But work great and come with a lot of glue sticks to start. It’s worth a try and the money.

Works just as it's supposed to. Have left it powered on for over an hour hanging Christmas Lights with dabs of glue and had no issues. I knocked it off my ladder from about 8' high. The tip bent from fall but gun still worked just fine. Used multiple size batteries with no issues. Wish it had a pre-drilled and tapped hole for a belt clip but other than that it is a very handy tool.
