I wanted to like this buffer but I’ll get straight to the reasons why I decided to return it.The speed of the one that I purchased was single speed, no adjustments could be made for car detailing I saw that as one of the main drawbacks for keeping in my arsenal. Such lack of versatility along with the lack of any dual action or orbital rotation were also dings against this. I’ve no idea regarding battery life but let’s talk about batteries. I’ve never seen a square style battery and I’ve looked for replacements yet didn’t see anything worth adding, because of the other issues I have regarding this single speed unit. Also, I’more of a two handed polisher so the single hand use feels awkward.I just couldn’t see value in keeping this even at the current price point. Having a compact size is nice but when working with a vehicle, I want something that’s versatile. A single 3†size pad isn’t versatile enough to claim value for money, since I’d need an additional unit to deal with the small areas of my vehicle, so I opted for a dual action unit that has a quick connect between 3†and one once pads.

This buffer is the perfect size for my guitar repair business. The smaller size makes it perfect for guitar size finish repairs. It comes with 2 rechargeable battery packs, so I have no downtime while staging the workflow in my shop. Most of the smaller type buffers are surprisingly more costly than their larger counterparts so when I came across this very affordable unit I was pleased. It works well for all applications in the shop. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the limitation of 1 speed. 2 speeds would make it perfect, but the product itself works great. Very happy I found this handy buffer.

talk about powerful....I was going to return this thing because I ordered a different one...however, when I got this I used it as a portable sander and DAMN this thing is super powerful for the small size and the battery life is spot on with what they said...the ONLY thing I don't like is the position of the button for the autolock.

The trigger position and trigger lock is super awkward to use this tool. Trigger should of been directly inline with it's rotating head.Has power but the Velcro backing pads do not fit true on spindle. And has the wrong threaded opening. The tiny little bolt that holds on the backing pad is really too small to fit this pad on securely. And improper Bad head design. All attachments don't work well, they sit out of round, the backing pads that don't tighten down correctly on head spindle.The batteries are the best of this kit rated at 16.8v blows away 12v cordless tools in power and is rated at 3,000 mah, the 2 batteries.If these problems were fixed, this would be a good polisher cleaner.

I am very impressed with this little tool. Powerful and lightweight. It does not have a battery indicator light so I do not know how much I used. But I used it straight out of the box for an hour solid on one battery and it is still going strong. I purchased thisfor two reasons. One I love to make knives and do wood turning and it just seamed like it would be good and light for each. Second I have a chromed out 350 in a little 5 windo 53 ratrod truck. If I ever get it done. But I have a feeling it will be highly used at my house. Oh it also comes with a zipper storage bag.I am just blown away how easy it is to use, the power it has, and its battery life. This is a good one to keep in the house you could clean the bathtub stove top and much more, plus polish the stainless in your kitchen. I cleaned up I knife I made 10 years ago that I had not gave much love to as it is my often most misused and abused blade I own. I open cans camping and use it for everything else I should not. It came out looking like new again. It takes sanding pads scour pads buffing pads and any other 3 inch pad that has a velcro backing. It is not a random orbit, but it is a high speed.Ladys buy your men this and they will love you. Buy yourself one too to keep in the kitchen. I will never scrub a bathtub by hand again. I am going to stock up on pads for it as they are all standard sizes. It comes with an extra backing pad I think the are a standard size if you need them but the two it comes with should last a long time. I did not pay for this but I think I am going to by my son in-law one as well as another for the house. I like it that much.

Don't let the price fool you. This machine gets the job done with great results as a kitchen cleaner. I haven't used it on a car so to that extend I can't say but using it as a cleaner. You will get top notch results.

4" 3500 rpm polisher. Pros: compact, fast motor, simple machine. Came with 3 foam polishing pads, two (red and green scrubbers, 5 ea. 60 and 120 sanding disks. All attatch to the backing wheel with hook-type nylon. The wheel is removeable, for substituting other accessories.The 16.8 VDC battery claims 3 AH capacity. I found many sources for pads, disks, polishing accesories, replacement batteries. The tool feels heavy, solid. There is a trigger lock-on to ease finger fatigue, and allow you to reposition the tool while it's running.Cons: single speed. No soft-start to spread polish before slinging it all around your project, for instance. I found the handle design ok for vertical surfaces, but slightly uncomfortable for horizontal work.This tool could have come with a shield for use as an angle grinder, but for some reason did not. Forvery little extra there are 16.8 angle grinders with a hard-shell case, extra battery, grinding and cutting tools- simply buy a polishing kit and remove the shield!Shop around.
