It arrived well packed. The parts are well made and fitted easily together. We put it in the kitchen counter corner and it has a wonderful effect there, enlivening that part of the counter as it brings a useful friendly lightness. I love the clear panel that allows for seeing into the box. The two shelves hold two loaves, or one loaf and various rolls or cookies or whatever. It adds a cheerful homey energy to the kitchen. Because it is so well made, it also brings the feeling of being cared for. What beyond this would you want in your kitchen? -- good cheer, coziness, and somehow a feeling of security as you glance across the counter and note the loaf of bread visible through the breadbox window. Five stars for sure.

This bread box is beautiful, and looks great in my kitchen. It was fun to build, with good directions. Super good materials, with no toxic smell.There is only one thing that makes this bread box less useful than I had hoped -- it is narrow. You can't fit alot of bread in it.

I needed some kind of shelf for my kitchen counter, for all my odds and ends (water flavoring, used but clean freezer bags, kitchen shears, etc.) and this bread box is perfect! Now that it's assembled and I can really look at it, I think I'm going to get another one to actually hold bread. It's a great value for the price.I can't say it was a breeze to put together. At least the instructions (pictures only) were clear enough that I didn't get almost finished and realize I put something in backwards. It took me about two hours, including the time I spent staring at it and thinking I was going to have to talk my husband into doing it for me. Once I started catching on it began to make sense and the rest was a cinch. On one step if you don't manage to hold it all together while you're inserting a screw all the sides will fall down, but that really wasn't that difficult. At the end it was off-plumb and the door didn't close properly. The next and last step was inserting the inner shelf. It fits very snugly and pushes out on the sides so it all lines up just fine. It's a nice, solid (not at all flimsy) box and it would look great on any kitchen counter. I'm going to put some of those flat strip lights in it so I can easily see inside and then it will be perfect.Fair warning, though: it will hold quite a few rolls, muffins, doughnuts, etc. and probably some round loaves that you get in the bakery, but a standard loaf of sandwich bread will not fit. The longest loaf you can fit on the shelves would probably be a loaf of raisin bread.

It is exactly like the picture. Packaged in great order, all the parts were there and they all fit. Perfect and looks great!

Apparently it’s normal for this company to not add instructions for how to put this box together. Also there were no hinges for the door so I wasn’t able to even use that. Now it’s extra storage space on my countertop which is nice. I have no confidence in how I put the thing together though. It may fall if anyone in my family touches it.

I saw before purchasing, many commented on the directions and assembly. The directions were VERY clear and all of the pieces are clearly marked. I'd highly recommend. They have the same box on another popular website for over double in price.

Love this bread box. I hated that my breads were always sitting in my counter or in a basket. I didn’t think this would work (thought it may be too small) but it is perfect. It is tucked away in a corner and looks great. I don’t like things in my counter so this is perfect. Simple and neat!
