Like to use it always extended, so I don't have to lean over to cut low items.Why botter shrinking then extending all the time. Leave extended!

I bought this item a month or so ago but finally used it today. I was waiting for Fall cleanup. I was trimming small bushes for about two hours. I noticed the blades were not closing. I looked and the metal stop to keep the trimmer from shutting was hanging out. It finally fell out and now the shear does not stop to protect your hands. I am sorry I did not use these earlier so I would have a return policy. The blades still cut but there no longer a stop protecting your hands when you cut using them. I liked the design and reviews I read before buying were good. I also bought the lopper of the same brand. It worked well so far.

Purchased these to trim hedges around the house. The extension handle add some length for cutting high branches, but only about 6". Corona makes very reliable outdoor tools and I expect to be able to use these for a long time.
