I had a 3 step Cosco step stool years ago, which I loved, but lost it when I moved as the movers kept it. I have 2 other taller step stools that are heavy and clunky. I wanted a small one for my bedroom to get items down from a shelf and this is perfect, solid, well-made and suits my needs. It came in a beaten-up box, looks like it's a returned item, but I did not mind. Cosco makes great step stools from my experience. I rarely ever write reviews, but will do so for items deserving of it, as we live in a world where so much is cheaply mass produced.

Perfect size. Narrrow enough to store between my washer and dryer. Easy open and close. Just the right step height.

This two-step COSCO stepstool is my third purchase in their product line. I had earlier purchased their one- and three-step stepstools. It is a heavy-duty metal stool, yet still lightweight. It folds flat so it stores easily anywhere. It has friction strips on each step so I don't slip. Very convenient for use around the house and garage. It's handy as a little chair too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Overall well made at a good price. Easy to fold with the locking feature. My wife STILL won't fold it up and put it away, though, and I still kick the thing at night just like the old one.

There is not a day since I have received this that I HAVENT used it. Top shelves? STEP STOOL. Taking down or mounting security cameras? STEP STOOL. Odd projects around the home like light fixtures, light bulbs, or hanging shelves? STEP STOOL!!Perfect size and perfect height. Collapses flat for storage.

The 2 step stool was not what I expected and marked up. It also appears that I cannot return it.I had ordered one previous to this me and the wrong one was sent to me so returned it.What can be done with this one?I want a 2 step ladder.
