They keep my teabags from slipping into my cup and teapots. Just what I wanted. And they are very cute and colorful. I think these probably work better that the "snail" teabag holders which I have not tried.

First of all, they do hang nicely over your mug and hold the string of the tea bag very well. That being said, I was disappointed that the "bowl" of the item is a bit small the tea bag doesn't fit inside so drips off the edges. It would be nicer if the "bowl" part was wider to hold the tea bag. I actually bought it to hold the tea bag and thought the string holder was a bonus. If the string holder is your main reason, then it's a good buy.

Bought a set last year and have used them frequently. Keeps tea bag secure from drowning in the cup or pot while adding water. Doubles as a tea bag holder when the steeping is done. Easy to clean and do not seem to stain

Cute, serves it's purpose. Coffee and tea stain them, even after washing. So decided not to gift them.
