What is Hard Water?

How to Descale/Clean the Kettle?
1. Filling the kettle with 1 cup of vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water.
2. Boiling the liquid and leave it for 2 hours, then use a cloth to clean and wipe.
3. Rinse the kettle with clean water, and dry with a soft, clean cloth.
4. Repeat as needed.

Bought this kettle to replace my old electric kettle because it wouldn't turn on. This kettle design and build is very sleek and sturdy. I also like how wide the top opens for easy cleaning It boils very hot and very fast and I like the cool looking blue lights when it boils.I also bought the 3 year warranty in case it dies out before than but if this thing can last me for three years with how much I use it than it's definitely worth it.

As I was using this kettle the other day, I thought about how much I really love it.The water boils very quickly. It's delightful to watch the water boil through the glass. It's a larger kettle so I can make water for 3-4 people if needed. At first the blue light bothered me, but now I like it.I've had this for a few years now with no issues. I follow the instructions for descaling on a weekly basis or whenever I see discoloration on the stainless steel heating element, and it still looks good. The wide opening at the top makes it easy to clean with a long handled brush.

I bought this because i was looking for a new electric kettle that was glass and metal since microplastics is the big topic these days. I am very happy with the use of the light to let you know it is on and it boils as quick as any other on the market so you know you have your money's worth. Great build quality and it has shown to be very durable so far. Highly recommend.

We purchased this Cosori, 1.7L, Cordless, Glass Hot Water Heater seven weeks ago and can offer the following review after using this Cosori unit at least twice a day for these past seven weeks. We have found this Cosori unit to be very easy to use. We fill the carafe with the desired liquid volume, place the glass carafe onto the heating unit, and activate the Start switch to begin the short heating process. Most of our liquid heating requests are for the maximum volume -- 1.7L. The heating time from the Start request to full boil is less than five minutes. I have measured the water temperature at full boil with an infrared heat measuring instrument. The recorded temperature has been 212 degrees Fahrenheit - consistently. The blue LED light does illuminate when electrical power is being employed to function the unit. The blue LED light shuts off when the heating function ceases. Cleaning procedures are clearly described in the enclosed owner's manual/instructions. We use a clean cloth to wipe down the exterior of the unit as well as the interior of the carafe. I have found the carafe's opening quite large enough to easily perform any wipe-down of the carafe's interior walls or stainless steel bottom. To that end, it's a considerate design element that the lid-affixed liquid strainer has some flexibility so that any inadvertent bump to the strainer while cleaning the carafe's interior, will help prevent any permanent damage to the strainer or lid. Pouring boiling liquid from the carafe into a cup or other receptacle has been easy and safe. Neither one of us have found the weight of a full carafe to be an issue. The electrical heating plate, on which the glass carafe rests, does accept a few wraps (on the underside of the electrical plate) of the electrical cord should cord length be a concern. It has not been so for us. Yes. We have caused the glass carafe to lightly "clunk" against the sink faucet, sink, counter top. No scratching or fractures have occurred to the glass. De-scaling cleaning process/instructions - we have amended only the following: Two cups of distilled vinegar to one cup of water. Based on our seven weeks of use and communication with Cosori representatives, we would recommend this Amazon seller for honesty and integrity and this unit for dependable function.

Edit to add that almost 4 years later, it still works like it did out of the box and i use it regularly.Wow! I love this kettle! Super easy set up. Literally all I had to do was take it out of the box, set it on the base and plug it up. No parts to put together, no issues at all. Using it is just as easy. Simply fill it with water and push down the tab button located right under the handle. Within 2 minutes you hear it begin to boil. Even with a full kettle of water it is boiling within 4 minutes. The auto shutoff feature was the key selling point for me....AND IT WORKS GLORIOUSLY! After full on boiling for a minute it shuts off. Even if you turn it right back on, it will shut off within a minute. You can't fool it at all. I'm not sure if the actual temperature but it's super hot. So far I've used it for oatmeal, tea, soup, mop water, and just about anything else that I've needed really hot water for. 😂😂🤷ðŸ½â€â™€ï¸About the kettle/ pitcher itself. I've dropped mine, it didn't break. It is warm to touch from the outside after boiling but not hot enough to cause major burns, as a metal or glass pot would be. Same hot water, safer. The lid swings open while staying attached, but must be released first using the bottom at the top of the handle. Another safety feature in my opinion. The water only pours from the opening, even when turning upside down, unless you release the lid. The handle is super comfortable and easy to grip and hold. Lastly, visually its easily noticeable if it is on or has finished as it has small blue (led maybe) lights around the inside base of the kettle that are only lit when it is on. The power button also lights up.Overall, I have great things to say about this kettle. If I could suggest one thing, it would be the only thing that I have found slightly bothersome. The power cord is fairly short. You'll need to place it within 3 feet of a power outlet. My house was built in 1938 so placement was difficult for me and I have to unplug something In order to use it. Maybe a retractable cord holder in the base might work better for some users. I needed the cord to be just under 5 feet in order for it to remain both plugged up and sitting on the counter top. Again, this is a minute concern and doesn't affect the usability AT ALL. Heck I might be the only one who even cares about it!Great product that has had me looking to purchase other items made by Cosori that are BPA free, safe, easy to use, and family friendly.

La compre para remplazar otra de la marca RCA y me gusta mas. Los materiales son de mucho mejor calidad e incluso siento que hierve mas rápido que la otra. También me gusta que la marca ofrecerá una garantÃa al registrarla. La recomiendo mas que las oteas opciones mas económicas que antes del año se echan a perder.

La empecé a usar y la verdad es que no necesita muchas instrucciones, por lo tanto es de fácil manejo, también tiene una gran rapidez para calentar el agua y hierve muy bien.
