Luckily, I've never had to use it, so this review isn't about the effectiveness of the spray against a bear attack.The spray trigger is secured by a plastic tab that is easy to disengage. The holster holds the can with a Velcro strap, designed so that you can quickly undo the strap and grab the can in one swift motion. The can also features a finger hole, making it even more ergonomic. All in all, this seems to be a thoughtfully designed product. My wife and I have carried it on our belts during numerous hikes, and it feels comfortable on the hip.

I bought this 2-pack for a motorcycle trip around Kodiak and Denali Alaska.I like the holsters, which make it easy to attach in a quickly accessible location. The safety clip is easy to operate and the spray is quite powerfulUpon completing my trip and no longer needing the bear spray, I gave it to a someone from Sweden(?) who was exploring the USA.Unfortunately his english skills were not great and he accidentally set it off inside the hostel.WOW!!Despite not getting a direct blast, the vapor in an enclosed space drove everyone into the yard. The Swedish fellow spent a good bit of time in the shower trying to wash it off, and the hostel host and I devoted the next 30 minutes to getting windows open and then washing down all the surfaces. Even getting some on your hands and accidentally wiping your face was painful... trust me!

This is one of those products you hope you never have to use. It's like an insurance policy, you have it to be used if necessary. I like the 40 ft. range with the larger canister. Will update as needed.

As described and seems good enough to go backpacking for a few days. Bought to keep on my pack and my friends pack. I think this is the most economical option if you’re looking for a 2 pack. I didn't really need 2 of the 10oz cans, so it saves a little money. Includes 2 stretchy holsters with a basic belt loop and Velcro top strap. The top strap is a little too long so there is not very much tension on the top of the can but it works well enough. Would pay more if they had better holsters where you could strap them horizontally too.

Researched bear sprays and this is rated best for %, distance, spray cone overall. Have not dispensed on any grizzly’s yet and hope not to
