These cow bells are not really good ringing bells. I have some older real cow bells that have a nice tone and resonance to them. This is because the real cow bells are made out of one continuous piece of metal that exhibits a good tone and resonance. These bells here are not one continuous piece but instead two pieces of flat sheet metal tack welded together. This causes one side of the bell to be resonant with one frequency and the other to be resonant to another. This causes a discord with the two frequencies beating against each other and not creating a pure resonant and loud sound. However, it does make noise but the ring of a real bell sound is missing. So if you want a good noise maker, these bells will deliver what you want. But, if you want something of a good resonant ringing bell sound, check elsewhere.

Gave as a gift to a 10 year old. Was super excited, has a great pitch to the ringing of the bell. Nice design on the bell

Got it for a family with an autistic son since I’m a sadist. My son is autistic and we have a car cowbell which makes me question my sanity so I wanted to share the love. Feel like a Mississippi fan and it makes my eye twitch but other than that it is great.
