A little more silver/dark gray than "black" but I'm still very happy with the quality. Pressed 84 into 1/4 in thick worth of fabric via a tandy leather mallet kit. Only two of them failed on me. Still good use of the gross. Worth a 5 star

Count was accurate. The backers were in a seperate package which makes finding them easy. The metal seems quality. They all arived in good shape - no duds. The previous setting tool I had works. However, the outside diameter is only 7/16" with only a thin bit of gripping material as opposed to the 5/8" of my previous ones. The small diameter means there is very little grabbing of the fabric, and that these probably need a stiff backer such as vinyl or teflon sewn in to avoid tearing out of the fabric. The thin diameter means you must be very accurate when making your initial hole, actually make it a bit undersized and squeeze these in, or else they won't have anythgin to grab to. Keeping, but looking elsewhere for some quality proper sized ones.

Absolutely horrible product, not a single redeemable quality. Both the eyelet and the washer are smaller than advertised. The eyelets depth is so long that it's just uncomfortable to use and it doesn't set right with any tools, especially since they have no cuts into the eyelets to allow it to "crush" correctly. The washer was so thin, small, and flimsy that I can rip them apart in my fingers, they also do absolutely nothing in regards to working as a backing, you'd almost be better off to not use a washer than using these. Wouldn't even be worth the purchase if they were free. I never give reviews but this was just an awful product. I'm disgusted by this company.

I bought these to use with a standard 1/4" hole punch. The quality may be fine (I can't attest to that myself), but they are too large to fit in the hole. You need a special tool that they sell to get them to fit, I guess. The eyelet hole itself may be 1/4", but the post that goes through the punched hole measures 5/16th. I am not willing to buy yet another tool to fit one product, so these will go in the bin. I gave 3 stars because they product may be good quality and the company was quick to respond.

These were exactly as advertised and then, to my surprise, I found the grommet backs were in their own little pouch. This made it so much easier to do my project. Thank you!
