I used it when I was at Big Bear last winter for hiking with kiddos. it has good grip but it always slides off although I tighten it. It put a wood between my shoes to have grip but still didn't stay. I don't know how to make it stay but at least it worked and helped me to walk on slippery ice and snow.

Very easy to put on your shoes and they work well on most types of footwear. Probably not good for long walks as they tend to slip a bit. I use them to get from my car into my office building and for that they are perfect.

I bought these for my daughter, my granddaughter and myself for Christmas! They're much smaller and easier to put on than the full foot. All three of us keep them in our car as a just in case thing. In Vermont you never know when the snow is going to turn to ice! I haven't hiked with them and probably won't! But they're great for safety and ease of putting on.

And my first review I gave the cleats two stars. I should raise it to 2.5 to 3 stars.Even though the cleats clog up they do work somewhat and keeping me from slipping on ice and snow. I just have to walk slowly.I do feel more secure wearing them, Especially going downhill slightly on snow and ice.Even clogged up with impacted ice, the cleats do dig into hard snow but not ice. You just can't walk around on ice, on these particular cleats.Sometimes there is ice hard ice just below the snow. For those conditions I'm going to try out some cleats that are just sharp plates that can't fill up.But these cleats I'm writing about now are useful and easy to put on. I should have given them three stars to begin with. The price is very reasonable. You have to make sure you make them very tight or they fall off.False killed 46,000 people last year, many probably in the snow. I slipped and almost fell 2 days ago on ice just getting out of my car. If I hadn't had my hands on the steering wheel and door I would have.Don't use your handicap ramp in the ice going downhill or up even with spikes. Use your steps. These cleats are good for light snow conditions which are very frequent. At least Amazon sells a variety of cleats that you can't buy in any stores around where I live including Walmart, Lowes Rural King. You've got to have something as even the parking lots are snowy and icy and you can fall.Thank you.

Definitely NOT worth it. Short-lived product. Lasted for a handful of very brief wears to walk across the street to grab the mail.Tore tonight. Not repairable. Does not stay in place. Rusts immediately. Disappointing. Will not be buying again.

Tried using these in heavy snow and ice. They did help with traction, but no matter how hard I straped them down, they shift and eventually fall off my hiking boots.

I don't normally write a negative review but people buy these to prevent injuries which sometimes people will break bones or worst. These grips look very good but they slip off very easy. They were bought for a 180 lb fit man and it would be a great product if it didn't slip off after being tightened as far as it could be.

Be aware, you will have to change how you walk on ice.Since the spikes are in the middle of your feet, if you walk normally and set your heel down first... you going down. You have to walk to deposit the front of your foot first to grip the ice.Outside of that, they are easy to put on and stay on. I haven't tried running, so I can't report on that. The advantage to this type is that you can take them off quickly with one pull of the strap.Usefull on ice, not the best but OK.

I've used the full boot grips, and I can't use them anymore, as they really hurt to work in. I like that these ones are relatively flat, and are easy to walk in. The velcro is convenient, but if it gets caught on a leash, it falls off. I've had to cut it down.

I'm very happy with this purchase. I feel safe with my cleats and they are easy to put on and take off.
