I have a Cricut Maker 3 and have used the engraving tool for several projects. I have engraved on acrylic (2mm thickness) and made ornaments and night lights. I use More pressure on the Acrylic 2mm thick setting in Design Space. I do recommend taping your acrylic to the mat and burnishing it to the mat to make sure it does not move. You want to also be careful where you line it up and make sure it matches the placement in design space. I turned my ornaments upside down so the tool didn't have to go over the ornament hanger hole...it tore up the tape the first time I tried it, so the rest I did upside down

This buyer sells the real deal - authentic Cricut blades and housing. Pay close attention to what you’re ordering also. I ended up returning because I ordered the wrong item. If you do not already have a quick swap housing already, order the desired tip + quick housing swap.

I used the engraving tip for the first time and I'm pleased with the outcome. Although the knife isn't aligned perfectly, I can't wait to give these to my daughter for her bridal shower.

Cricut Maker, engraving tool & 3" wide acrylic circles is making for some fun projects. Make sure acrylic is 2mm or less. I actually forgot to remove the protective film on one run and it still engraved. I'm loving this tool, and I'm a cricut newbie by only a few months. Can't wait to keep crafting.
