Blink and you’ll miss it.
The LCK + Tanto is lightning fast and ready for anything. Surprisingly lightweight and easy to carry for its size, the LCK + Tanto everyday carry folding knife is built around the Assisted Opening innovation for extremely fast deployment speeds. Pack some heat.
Designed by Matthew Lerch of Sussex, Wisconsin, the LCK + Tanto is designed with Matthew’s signature style: functional art. With a sleek, linear design, the formidable jet black Tanto blade meets the glass-reinforced nylon handle in what looks like a nearly seamless transition. The grooves on the handle elevate the grip in rain, mud, and grease. Built with Assisted Opening, simply nudge the blade open part way and the innovation activates, snapping it open at super high speed. The IKBS ball bearing pivot system makes for a smooth rotation and a liner lock keeps it solidly in place.
Ready, aim, LCK + Tanto.
How Assisted Opening Works
It's held securely closed in your pocket, but initiate the deployment, and part way through the rotation the blade open at an impressive speed for simple, powerful, one-handed opening.

I'm a bit of a knife junky. Have a lot. Expensive, cheap. This one really stands out. It's very sharp & has held it edge. It's a good looking black out knife too. Easy assisted opening. I have about 5 knives that I go thru as my edc, but since receiving this one it's probably been in my pocket 75% of the time. Buy it.

This folder fits perfectly in the pocket. It isn't bulky. It is perfect for almost every everyday task that anyone needs to do. Definitely worth it.

I received this knife two days ago. Here are a few first impressions. This knife opens fast. It arrived very sharp. I like the short clip. This knife has a very clean and shiny blade. It feels like a far more expensive knife.

I recently bought this knife. It is a great value, sleek simple design, profile is real nice. Very easy opening and closing. Probably the sharpest knife out of the box I have ever bought. I recently purchased a Spartan blade at twice the cost and this was a way better quality knife then the spartan blade. I definitely recommend this knife. You just cant beat the the value for the price.

This knife is very sharp. It is a very good value for the money. The locking mechanism works well. The only critique I have in the reason it’s four stars instead of five is that when it is locked in place the blade is locked firmly, but it gives you the impression that it might be just a little bit loose. I love the way. The clip is attached to the knife because the knife is far enough down in your pocket that you can just barely see that it’s there. The side of the knife and the clip are very good quality as well.

Second knife from CRKT and its two for two.Razor sharp, perfect length, smooth open, and I like how the clip is positioned to make it sit in my pocket more functionally.I’m quickly becoming a fan of this brand

I purchased this knife based on experience with other CRKT products, and because of the blade profile. This knife lived up to my hopes and immediately became my every day carry knife. I will refrain from specs as you can find them elsewhere, and will instead just explain why I love this tool.Form Factor: This knife is compact, but capable. It clips securely and comfortably deep in my front pocket. The blade profile is robust and built for utility, with a thick blade that narrows to a finer point. The cutting edge has a slight belly making it a versatile cutter, though the thick blade limits precision slicing of some foods like harder fruit (apples). Whether closed or open, I find this knife's aesthetic very pleasing.Function: As I said, this knife is designed more with utility in mind, but I have also used it to cut and slice food if needed. The finger stud requires minimal, but deliberate pressure to start it to the spring assisted opening threshold, which then pops the blade open quickly and securely. Once open, the liner lock engages securely and I have not experienced any instances of this knife opening or closing unintentionally. The lock can be easily and safely disengaged, and the blade closed with one hand, though doing so carelessly may get you cut if you keep this knife sharp. Common sense dictates that you close any folder using two hands anyway. After over a year of use, the blade is still firm with absolutely no loosening or side to side movement. Finally, I have always struggled to sharpen knives despite having one since I was ten. Some are easier to maintain than others, and the slight belly on this blade required some learning from mechallenge for me, though it was just a matter of technique and practice. That said, I have only had to sharpen this knife a few times since I got it fifteen months ago. In that time, I have used it mostly to open and break down cardboard boxes, in addition to a few other light carving/camp tasks. My opinion is that for the money, most users will not be disappointed of they choose to buy this knife.

What a great little knife. Carries well in your pocket or cargo pocket. Good steal, takes and keeps an edge. Better than I expected.
