Croquet Trolley Cart

We brought the croquet set so we need the trolley too... It is sturdy and well made, not flimsy at all. My husband and I put it together in a short amount of time.

There are more places to put things and holes than my croquet set has - but better more storage than not enough:) Cart is super. My teenage boys put it together and had not problems.

I like that this cart is very sturdy and attractive and VERY HEAVY DUTY hence, the 4 stars. However, given the following issues, I would actually return it because it's not worth the price I paid. Here's why: First of all, it was not as simple to put together as it should have been because the holes were not pre-drilled deep enough to accept the included screws. Even with my industrial strength power tools, I was unable to get some screws flush with the wood. When I tried re-drilling the holes, the drill would not even penetrate the plywood as if there was a metal block in the wood. At the moment a few of the screws are not flush with the wood and I will at some point need to replace them with a shorter screw. My warning to anyone trying to put this together is to NOT FORCE the screws as you will end up stripping the heads and unable to remove the screws. I have two screws with stripped heads and I'm unable to remove them now and unable to return this for a refund since it won't fit into the box.My next complaint is that I ordered the Uber Executive Croquet Set for this trolley and the seller specifically states that it will hold a 9 wicket set which is NOT TRUE! The slots that hold the wickets will only hold 4 wickets each. That means that the 9th wicket and the included wicket punch tool have no appropriate storage on this trolley. For now, I've got the punch tool in the ball compartment and the 9th wicket 'forced' into two small holes on the back of the bottom shelf. Those holes are not quite large enough so, although it's fairly easy to insert the wicket, it's not that easy to remove the wicket without a bit of shifting and pushing due to a ring on the wicket for marking ground level. I may have to enlarge 4 of those holes in order to make space for the wicket and the punch tool. And what are all those small holes on the bottom shelf for anyway?Next complaint: I purchased this trolley so that I could play both 6 and 9 wicket croquet THIS TROLLEY IS ONLY DESIGNED FOR 6 WICKET CROQUET that only uses ONE STAKE and 4 balls even though there is room for 6 mallets and 6 balls used in 9 wicket games. The description should state that it doesn't hold the components for a 9 wicker game. My Uber Executive set included two stakes ( for 9 wicket games) there is no storage hole for the second stake. I may have to enlarge another 5th hole on that bottom shelf to store the 2nd stake. The whole point of buying this trolley was to be able to store all my croquet pieces for a 6 or 9 wicket game.Overall, it's a good quality trolley but do beware of the points I mentioned because it may not be worth it to you to have this vs just using the included bag or purchasing a nice pine box. As far as the bag goes, I haven't tried using it but given how heavy everything is, I can't imagine how anyone could carry the entire set in this bag.UPDATE: I realized that the small holes on the bottom shelf are for the 8 wooden yard markers ( placed between the corner flags) that I didn't receive in my Uber Executive set. The seller at Havemorefun is aware of this and is sending them. So, I'm not sure that I will have room now for the 9th wicket, stake and wicket punch but I'm sure I'll find some way to make them fit even if it's not so ' pretty'.
