These chairs are so great. Made well, easier to put together with two people but I put them together with no issues by myself. They supply the tools you need to assemble. The red paint is very nicely done and the rubber foot bumpers will not hurt your flooring , even if you were to put in your house. They are easy to sit in not uncomfortable but I prefer a bit more of an an angle backwards on the chair back for relaxing but for at a table they are great. I will just make some lumbar pillows for themThey were packed up and shipped very well we will buy more. Had them for awhile before reviewing. The red paint looks brand new. Just a great chair for the money.

These chairs are a good deal considering the fact that old chairs like these are getting harder to find and can be costly if found.Be aware that you will need a helper or 4 hands to assemble. Difficult to get together since the piece at the bottom back will not go into the legs if the side pieces with the arms are attached. Then after the frame is all together it takes two ladies or one very strong man to push that last screw in and attach the hex screw. It is an aggravating chore but worth the work once done as you can see by the pics.

Love the vintage vibe. The red color is classic and matches a set of actual vintage chairs I already own. Easy to assemble. The seat size is very ample and the frame is sturdy.

I bought these as a return via Amazon warehouse for $80 and suspect they were returned because the frames were bent or otherwise misaligned. I'm no stranger to flat pack k furniture but these absolutely made me work up a sweat. All-in, it took me 1.5hrs to assemble both working solo.Advice: attach the seat fronts first. Mine had about a 2 inch gap once I went to attach the second side. I ended up having to sit on top of the frame to attach the 2nd front edge and compress the frame enough to bolt it to the seat. They look good and feel sturdy but....wow. That was a work out. Maybe a non-retun would be easier to assemble..

I have a mid-century house and these look perfect on the porch. Much easier to put together with two people. Don't tighten the screws/ bolts all the way until all the screws/ bolts are in place, and use a decent wrench. The little stamped metal included one is annoying . Neighbors have complimented me on them.

We needed a chair for our front porch to match the original retro steel chair we bought years ago and recently had sandblasted and powder coated. After reading the reviews complaining about the very difficult assembly, I almost did not order this chair -- now I'm glad I did.First -- this it not one, but TWO chairs. As to assembly -- To assemble, I spread a big paint drop cloth on my garage floor, opened the shipping carton and discovered two disassembled chairs. I examined the pieces, compared the pieces to the pictures in the very limited assembly sheet, separated the pieces into two chairs and go to work. The tools provided with the chairs are adequate, however, I found that using a 10mm ratcheting box-end wrench from my toolbox really helped.Working alone, I took 1 hour, 20 minutes to: (1) open the carton; (2) remove the parts and sort them into two piles; (3) assemble two chairs; (4) put the chairs on my front porch; (5) pick up the packing material, clean up my work space, put my wrench away, fold and put away the drop cloth; and, (6) wife and I plop down in the two chairs with our favorite alcoholic drink. As best I recall, this is how I did it all by myself:(1) Assemble the chair back to chair bottom and tighten the bolts.(2) Assemble one arm, attaching it loosely to the back and bottom loosely. This requires two of the long bolts with associated nut, washer, vinyl spacer, and vinyl washer. Start by attaching the arm to the chair bottom -- which is roughly the center of the arm assembly. Then, loosely attach the top end of the arm assembly.(3) Lay the chair on its side with the attached arm assembly on the floor.(4) There is a short piece of tubing that connects the right-hand and left-hand arm assemblies. Slide this in the arm that you installed.(5) Now slide the other arm into place. Attach the bolt assembly holding the arm to the chair back; leave it loose.(6) Now, connect the end of this arm to the chair seat -- install the bolt, cushion washer, washer, nut, etc., to the remaining hole in the arm assembly, then, sitting on the ground with your legs wrapped around the chair, pull the arm into position while the blot slips into the hole in the chair back. This is the only place I had to use any pressure to pull pieces together.(7) Now, go around the chair with your wrench and the Allen key provided with the chair(s) and tighten everything, tight.(8) Flip the chair upright and sit down.Oh, and I'm 80 years old.

Great for a patio chair. It’s sturdy and won’t blow across the yard when the wind blows.

These chairs were very nice. The finish was excellent. However, neither chair came together. If you got one part of the pipes to be inserted the other section came apart. After working on them for 2 days, we sent them back.
