Excellent quality, stylish, well built, clasps open/close easily. It fits my Montagnana cello: just about the right size and snugly with the pads. My Montagnana dimensions: upper bout/35.2cm, upper waist/tip to tip, 34.9 cm, and lower bout 44.5 cm. If your cello's upper bout is about 36ish cm, this case should fit too.

So they advertise 53.1 inch cello will fit. Not true my cello is 51.25 tall and this is how the top fits. Not very lightweight at all. Seems decent Amazon quality... Eh it's ok I'll keep it.

If you've tried to pick up most cello hard cases, you know how heavy they can be! This case is only 9.5 lbs and my daughter can manage it very well! It has an extra strap around the neck of the cello, soft lining inside and the pocket for the bow zips, which is better than most bow pockets that only have a snap. As a previous reviewer mentioned there is also a soft strap at the head of the case, which makes maneuvering the case very easy! The outside of the case has modern streamlined look (we got the black one)! If you are hesitating about which case to buy, because it is definitely an investment, this is a great case and worth the money!

Also comes with a hand strap across the top to allow directional stability when pulling or pushing. This was not described in the ads.
