I installed this on my 1973 CJ5 after my 52 year old boot ripped. I wont say its an easy install ( since you have to remove a few things to replace it) but once that's done its easy to put on. Use a bit of dish soap if you are going to put it on from the bottom of the steering shaft, you have 2 tabs to work it around. Or...Remove the driving shaft from the top and it slides on a bit easier. The round boot clip has two different sides, make sure the end with the higher spring side goes on top. Dont forget to pit a bit of bearing grease in there to keep it all in good working order. Best of luck!

I have a CJ5 that the steering wheel was loose and sloppy.. repalced it with this kit and now it is solid and has zero play ..Install is really easy however i would fit off the car and make sure you use a puntch to remove the cross pin I saw comments about not being able to fit ..15 min job super easy

This didn't fit my '80 Chev K20. The seller is *not* to blame. This was not advertised to fit my truck but I read elsewhere on the web that it would and decided to take a chance (not much invested).Unfortunately, the base of the boot is smaller in diameter than my truck's coupler.
