Good quality parts. Easy to install once you get the shaft out. I had some problems unrelated to this kit that made me order the whole replacement steering shaft, but I can say this kit took the slop out of the joint when I reassembled it.

Ordered this steering coupler kit, I ordered the one marked as "used" due to the cheaper price. It stated that it was just a damaged box. I received it today, there are several pieces missing , not just a damaged box. The picture is all that was in the box, not what all is included in the kit. It's missing the boot and all the internal pieces. Now I have to order the internal kit and wait for it to get here. Not very happy about this at all, was hoping to get it fixed today before the weather got bad again. So not only will I have to wait for the part, I'll have to wait on the weather.

I am using this as a replacement on an 85 CJ7. All pieces match up pretty good to the original ones being replaced except the clamp for the rubber boot. I think the clamp will do OK, but I'll keep an eye on it to see if it's allowing the boot to twist on the shaft which would lead to the boot splitting. The coupler housing fit well with the input shaft on the steering box so easy to install. The coupler housing came with some sort of light coating that almost looked to be old grease/oil. Maybe it's put on as a preservative. I checked the housing closely for signs of being used, but didn't really see anything obvious. Wiped it down inside and out before greasing and installing. I've separated my steering shaft to make re-installation easier on the jeep. The also allows me to install the rubber boot on the lower part of the shaft without having to stretch it over the cross-pin at the end of the lower section (I've read some reviews about the boot splitting while trying to install it).
