The nip of the pen is perfect for testing various ink colors and you can use it in writing short essays, or signing or practicing hand writing or calligraphy.
Tips for Ensus
1. Dip the pen lightly in a bottle of ink. (Note: The nib should only be partially submerged to avoid ink stains.)
2. Slide the nib against the ink bottle opening to drain excess ink. When the ink no longer flows from the pen, it is ready to write with it.
3. Use your glass pen to write notes, letters, wedding invitations, etc. Re-dip in ink if needed.
4. Please do not put the writing pen on the side of a sloping table or plane to avoid breaking. Include small parts. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age.

Super easy to use, and what surprised me is how long the ink goes -- it writes nearly half a page with just one "dip" in the ink...It feels smooth and really feels expensive.

For the price, this is fabulous. While it did come sealed with scotch tape, the pen itself is very well protected.

I bought this set for my wife since she enjoys calligraphy. She opened this pen set and tried them immediately. See the photo I took of her drawing and lettering. For a little less than $15, she was happy with the quality of the pen. The ink stains skin and clothing so if you buy this, be careful with where you drip the ink or wipe the excess. As you can see from the photos, it's easy to get the ink on your fingers especially when you remove the rubber stopper from inside the bottle that's there to prevent the ink from drying. Also, the ink contains gold flakes which settle to the bottom of the bottles so you need to shake the bottle while it's sealed for the gold flakes to disperse them throughout the ink. It is pretty but it is a little large at the point where I hold it and causes hand discomfort. It is slightly triangular at the grip point so it is difficult to turn the pen to use the ink in other whorls. It's not terrible, just not completely comfortable for use.
