These are identical in all ways that I can determine, to the old Tandy leathercraft lacing needles.I'm using them to sew fire toys with very thin braided Kevlar cord.They will break, so it's not unreasonable to buy 12 at once.These will open a pair of police handcuffs easily if you know the trick of getting it between the locking pawl and the ratchet. (not if they are double-locked though)

I tried these but ended up going in a different direction, they don't hold the lace reliably. I spent half my time trying to reattach the lace to the needles.

I bought these for one of my friend . He loves them. He started back with his leather products. The 2 prongs hold the lace pretty good and make it easier for him.
